Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Courtenay

UPDATE: I have increased my rating from one star to four stars. Within 24 hours of me posting the review they responded, we exchanged emails and came to a resolution that I am quite happy with. I still keep one star off solely because of the nature of the initial review shown below.

Poor customer service.

I just got back home from doing a walk-in order and not happy about the service.

I was driving by and decided to get some pizza so I swung in. There was a notice on the door to look online to view the menu so I did. It showed a large feast pizza for $15.99 so I walked in and talked to the guy and asked if I could get this on more than one.

I put in my order for two pizzas, dips, pop and paid. About 20 minutes later it is ready and when I pick it up I am given two medium pizzas. I question this and say the add showed it was for larges.

The employee says the deal is for mediums and if I wanted larges I would have to pay extra. I take the pizza out and put them in my car and grab my cell and to bring it up and go back in to show him.

The add clearly states it is for larges and he agrees it does but then says that is for online orders only. I respond that would have been good to know when I ordered. His only response is to repeat it is online only as he turns his back on me and walks away to make more orders.

When I inquired when I was standing in store I mentioned the large pizza special. I place my order by saying I want one large of this type and then a second large of this type.

I literally mention several times the word large during the whole order process and the only response from the guy is the online thing that I mentioned above.

It was very clear that I wanted larges for that price advertised as per the website that the notice on the door told me to look at. We are all human and make mistakes and I am fine with that but the issue is he knew exactly what I was looking for and never mention that I would be getting mediums instead.

He came across as I got your money and this is what you are getting before turning his back on me because as far as he was concerned the matter was done and did not need to pay any more attention to me. That is my issue with the service provided.

Guess it is time to 'cash-out' my latest round of free pizzas that I have from their reward program and give another pizza place in town a...

I ordered online. It said my pizza would be ready in 25min. I arrived for pickup then. After waiting 5min for someone to acknowledge me I was told it would be another 20min (the screen said 11min). I came back in 20min the screen said it was ready for pickup. I waited another 3min to be acknowledged and was told it would be another 15 min. I waited another 10 min and then asked another employee they check with the guy at the oven and he says its almost ready. So I pay for it then. I wait some more and ask another employee and they check with someone in the back and they informed me that they hadn't even started making it yet. I asked for a refund and the employee gave me my money back with an unsincere apology. I waited for a pizza for over an hour and it hadn't even been started despite being told multiple times that it was almost done....Horrible experience! I have been to this location many times before and service is usually good. This experience was so bad I am not sure I will...

They always over-cook the pizza. They almost burnt my food the last THREE times I was there.

I got an extra cheese & extra pepperoni. Sure didn't appear to have anything extra on it.

Their wings are always drowning in sauce, I dry them with a paper towel. This is a subjective thing, so I cannot complain.

The last time I went in for pick-up, my food was not ready when I was told it would be. When I arrived at the designated time, they had not even started my order. I waited another 20 minutes for them to cook it.

Tonight I arrived and they said 7 more minutes.9 minutes later I was told 4 more minutes. I got the pizza in another 6 minutes.

They are just lucky that my wife likes the stuff, because I wouldn't be a repeat...
