My recent experience at Tim's Fish and Chips in Creston was quite disappointing, to say the least. We arrived at the restaurant promptly at 7:30 PM, which left us with only half an hour before their closing time at 8:00 PM. However, our initial impression of the place was not very welcoming. The young lady who was working that evening seemed disinterested and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone from the start. Upon entering, she abruptly informed us that only take-out orders were being served. While I understand that this may be their policy, her delivery lacked any sense of warmth or customer service. It almost felt like an inconvenience for her to serve us, and she made no effort to make us feel welcome or valued as customers. After placing our order, she continued to display her lack of enthusiasm for her job. Her demeanor was unprofessional, and she made it evident that she was unhappy with her responsibilities. As customers, we expected basic courtesy and politeness, but all we received were dirty looks and a huge groan in response to our simple questions. When our order was finally ready, it was handed over with an air of indifference. It felt as if she couldn't wait to be rid of us. There was no interaction or communication whatsoever, not even a simple "thank you" from her side despite our efforts to be polite. Disheartened by the poor service, we took our food home, hoping that the taste would make up for the unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, the food itself was also a letdown. The fish lacked flavor and seasoning, making it bland and tasteless. Additionally, the fries were disappointingly soggy and lacked any salt or seasoning as well. It's disheartening to have such a negative experience at a place that had received positive reviews before. While I don't want to judge the entire establishment based on one employee, it's clear that the young lady working that night had little interest in representing the company in a positive light. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Tim's Fish and Chips based on my recent visit. The unfriendly and unprofessional attitude of the staff, coupled with the lackluster food quality, left much to be desired. If the establishment hopes to maintain its reputation, it needs to address these issues promptly and ensure that their employees are motivated to provide good service. As a customer, I genuinely hope that future experiences for others will be much more pleasant than mine was.

I don't know where to begin with Tim's. I had the one piece fish n chips. I chose cod. It came with two solid pieces of fish. The breading was outrageously light and crispy! I was told before going that the chicken is amazing, but it sells out wicked fast and I unfortunately will wait until next visit to Creston for the chicken. I had some clam chowder and part of the onion ring poutine. Both are amazing! Heads up, the onion ring poutine is 1 pound of onion, so bring friends! Not a long wait for being a pretty busy spot. I cannot wait to come back next time I drive out from Calgary. Thanks so much to the team there. You cannot go wrong having a bite here!

Love this place! Mine & my husbands first time. We've been recommended to try this place, by so many people. Took a quick day trip into Creston. The service is so quick, the food was so yummy. You can feel the dedication & honest passion from Tim the owner. I am also gluten free, wasn't sure if I could eat here but stopped in for my partner to try. He instantly knew what I could eat. I was so happy to be able to try his delicious food. Thanks again for our first experience here. We will be back. :)

Me and my girlfriend used to love this place, the food was great and the portions were large enough to share one order together, prices were very on point and beyond fair. However, we had just went and everything the whole menu had went up in pricing and it is beyond a joke. 20+ dollars for a simple spicy poutine? And 18+ for a regular? It’s a straight up joke from what it was before. How about instead of raising your prices? Give a smaller portion of food, you guys are putting an insane amount of food on the plate as is, so wouldn’t you think to keep the prices the same but instead of jacking the prices to the sky, you give a smaller portion? You want me to pay 20$+ for what? I just don’t get it, the place is small, dirty, zero parking, it is not a luxury $20 a meal type of restaurant.. I used to drive an hour+ from cranbrook, but now with the sky rocketed prices, I won’t be returning. Nor will I be suggesting the place to my friends in the future like I...

I think there must be a parallel universe Tim's, because we just had carry out from this place based on all of these glowing reviews and was disgusting. Maybe they were just having an off night, but I just carried 2/3 of the $45 worth of food to the motel dumpster.

The spicy poutine was just canned gravy on frozen curly fries (with cheese curds). It was as bad as it sounds - leaden, super salty, and not the least but spicy. The missus had the cod fish and chips and it was soooo greasy. Sure, that goes with the territory, but this was beyond the pale. Her fries were better than mine, maybe made in house instead of ordered from Simplot, but still not in keeping with all the praise here. Also: Giant portions are not a substitute for quality eats.

Again, maybe they were just having a bad night, because they sure were busy and seem to have a...
