Well was very hungry and hate to do a 3 star review on a small company but here we go to be honest
Came up to Cumberland yesterday from Victoria for a drive and food on our anniversary and sign said order online ok I did with a big tip was 32 for a bowl and a burrito and extra for a small thing of sour cream-
No problem go to pickup and we’ll it wasn’t ready even thought 30 minutes had past ( square order placed Dec 28 140 PM) ok no problem
As waiting another gal came in the wrong door and was confused so I wasn’t the only one as I’m standing waiting
First thing I notice was all these bags of store bought nacho chips and didn’t even think about anything and then the server boy who was nicely dressed asked if I wanted sour cream on side which was weird as I already put that on my order sheet but fair enough I’ll play along he looked like he was 15 as the lead chef professional looking though .
So we got our food no receipt which was not good and the utensils were made of wood which was unique but the bowl was just cardboard not nacho or tortilla and then I started eating the cold nacho chips thinking they were so boring and remembered the bag on the counter- after driving through western states 3 times and going to Mexico five times I realized this was not Mexican but just a place that served Mexican style Food. We only got one fork and one knife for two people and one naPkin
My wife’s burrito I can’t say much but it was not grilled and the tortilla was soft and mushy should fry that before or after cooking to get some crispy ness was cold
The meat was supposed to be chicken but had texture and taste of pork.
So later on we had to go to Wendy’s and get a burger was 7 dollars with fries and a lemonade didn’t want to do that.
I came here last year and the experience was better and had a higher google rating
Coaching tips as I’d like to return one day
Get home made nacho chips serve hot and crispy
Add fish to menu I love fish tacos
Serve bowl in eatable nacho bowl
Give hot sauce on side as there was nothing added even though I requested it they may of been sacred to add too much hot sauce perhaps I don’t know but there was no hotness
The beans had no flavour and should of been refied but they were just pinto beans from a can type flavourless.
Do not up charge for sour cream that is so 2020, and we are so out of that trying to support local business. Sour cream costs 3 bucks for a massive container. It’s like charging for ketchup.
Add cliantro and lime it really adds some flavour
I have other cooking tips that could really boost your business like grilled onion and red pepper with taco seasonings or anything gotta be creative.
Would like to say more good things but after 32 dollars I can’t pay that kind of money for this type of food at one point in time I was number one on trip advisor I’m not just some little kid.
I would be appreciative if you take my advice as constructive to make better

Read moreI had been there a few times in the past and I remember not being very impressed with the food the last time. But my friend wanted to go so I gave it another try. I will not be going back again. I had to order the veggy burrito because I was told there were onions in everything and for dietary reasons I can’t do oinions. I wasn’t offer a substituted or even a side of guacamole without onions when I ask for it. I have no issues with the veggy burrito but when it says : Yams, kale , corn and cauliflower. I should be able to identify the veggies when look or eat my burrito. I didn’t see any kale , the yams were the size of an eraser on a pencil, cauliflower was so small it blended with the rice , as for the corn… maybe 10 kernels. I had also paid extra for sour cream and so did my friend. Neither one of us had sour cream in our burrito. I had also ask for hot sauce in my burrito (hottest level 2) I had none in my burrito. When I approach the kitchen to show them. I was directed to the order counter. The guy who served us. Had a quick Look , went to the kitchen came back and he said :”well the kale and everything else is in the mix” didn’t apologized or try to fix the problem. I even opened up my burrito to show him. I said ok, we also paid for extra sour cream and neither one of us have it in our burritos .he said I’ll bring you some and the hot sauce is on the table. He brought us a little container of sour cream with a spoon. Never apologized or anything. For $20 I should be able to see and taste the different flavour of veggies not just a mouthful of rice.
Hopefully you , who will be visiting/eating at this facility get a better and tastier meal...
Read moreLocated on the Main Street in Cumberland, BC, this is more than a Taco stand. The small space is practically set up with small tables and long benches. There is sidewalk seating for those who enjoy the Cumberland street scene. For a more quiet and laid back vibe, outdoor seating is available in a back area for dining al fresco. The menu is varied with meat choices and vegetarian options on Tacos, Burritos and rice/bean combination dishes. Prices range from $6 to $15 dollars for the corn-flour culinary creations. I had the large Taco special. It turned out to be more of a Quesadilla. Packed with shredded beef, guacamole, diced tomatoes, cilantro and spinach leaves, this taco was a major meal. I could only eat 3/4 of it. My friend ordered the large burrito and it, too was super large. We also had Toritilla chips and house guacamole for a starter. The chips were fresh and made in house. The guacamole was a smooth and tangy concoction, delicious to the last scrape. Beer, Wine and Margeuritas are available with prices ranging from $6 to $12 dollars. The food prep area is right there an an industrious crew of young people can be observed preparing the very fresh and tasty food. We raved about the meal to the staff as we were leaving. But the young people pretty much ignored us because we are overweight and older and they already know they are cool. Also the washrooms were under renovations and there was a short wait for the available facilities. Definitely this place is worth a visit if Mexican Food...
