Leo's Pizza Waverley — Restaurant in Dartmouth

First off as I phoned in my order for a 4 topping special it was the most courteous man on the other end of the call, second I know a good pizza and I am impressed by the quality and tasty pizza I picked up. I Was greeted by by whom I assume was the pleasant man in the phone (tattooed burly guy) but so am I lol and the staff and he were friendly prompt and not loud and messy like some shops I’ve seen. So I’m impressed overall as a consumer and after one bite it was delicious and will definitely be back as I love donairs and they will be serving me one of those in the near future.Stay tuned for that review. Absolutely delicious and definitely a top 3 donair in my books and I’ve had a few in my day. A lil spice and the sweet sauce and a quality sliced donair meat magnificent is a understatement and you are now my new favourite spot hands down and I met the owner again he’s a awesome guy too . People I past 6 or more pizza shops to go here and we’ll worth the extra time do yourself a favour and give ‘em a call you’ll be surprised I’ve only had the pizza and donair and they’re killing it! I will be back as The Terminator would say....

I normally order from Leo's and it was often fairly good. This time however, we ordered two big pizzas, we asked for extra olives.

When we got the pizzas it looked like somoene had taken old pizzas and just dumped olives on top after the pizza was done. You could hardly see anything under them all. I am all for lots of extra but that was a little much.

The garlic bread was inedible. It was cold and looked like a cheep bun with some crusty cheese in the middle. After a bit or two we tossed it.

Sadly the pizza tasted stale, very little sauce and was just plain bad.

I would have given it 1 star but because they have been decent in the past I assume this was just an off day for them or new staff?

Anyways, we will be looking for a new place to order from...

Leo's pizza has been my favorite local pizza joint for over 10 years! I used to work for Thomas as a delivery driver and have seen first hand, the care and devotion he has to his clients. Leo's is an institution of the Waverly area and continues to provide delicious food. Recently, we have been purchasing the "pizza kits" for our family and dinner guests ! It is a creative and fun option to have all the toppings and dough prepared and packaged to make evenings with Family a delight!
