My colleague and i walked in at 8pm on a Tuesday night after a 12 hour day at work. I told my colleague who was in from MONTREAL how good the food was,so it was my choice. As soon as we sat down, and i noticed not many people in,I asked if the kitchen was still open, and our server said yes. So we had a beer ,ordered nachos and our mains. I have to say the food was hot ,the nachos good and our mains were good. However the server was more worried about locking the doors, and getting us out. My colleague went out for a smoke, and when he went to open the door, she had locked them ,and had to go over and unlock it,and she made a comment I heard as she walked over to the door to open it. When my colleague came back in,he said to me let's go ,he left a full glass of beer on the table as he was so upset at the service. I always say the food tastes better with good service. Our food was good, service was horrible. With service like that, you won't get us going back ,which im sure to her wouldn't bother her,but there are a lot of restaurants in Dartmouth and Halifax with better food and service. And let's just say my tip was indicative ofthe poor service, and it was not a cheap meal for 2 guys for pub food,was...
Read moreMy husband work had their Christmas gathering here. I wasnt impressed at all. There was a bit on but the server was really distracted/overwhelmed. At first I let it go, but I became more annoyed as the night went on. I realize this establishment serves alochol.. but when you see car keys sitting on the table, why push alcoholic beverages on someone? She just kept bringing pitchers of beer and shots to some of the boys without asking how they were getting home. I also feel like they were over serving alcohol, there were quite the few overly intoxicated people there.
when asked what I was having to drink and I said coffee.. it doesnt mean come to me 10 minutes later and offer to get me alcohol, but forget to refill my coffee.
Our server only came to ask us about drinks.. we had to flag her down for food items.
The food here is alright, nothing stood out to me as fantastic. They "forgot" to enter a food order for one of the people at our table, and one of our guys waited 20 min for his beer, once he got up to get it himself she came running.
I think it wouldn't be a bad place for dinner, but early dinner because after 6 the music is too loud as are the drinks to hear anything the person next to...

The atmosphere was just perfect—cozy, inviting, and ideal for our meet-up. It felt like the kind of place where you could settle in and enjoy the moment without worry.
And let me just say, the food was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was raving about it. They brought out the most beautiful charcuterie board I’ve ever seen, filled with an array of high-quality cheeses, meats, and accompaniments that were as delicious as they were stunning. It was a real showstopper.
If you’re looking for a venue to host an event, I highly suggest Old Port Pub. The combination of their amazing food, attentive service, and warm atmosphere made our event unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a...
