Original Joe's — Restaurant in Dawson Creek

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I was working out of town and decided to order a steak sandwich with mushrooms. I ordered online and it was to be cooked Medium-Rare. I picked it up and headed back to my hotel room, once opening I noticed there was maybe a spoon full of mushrooms for the extra charge.. I cut open the steak to see it was Blue rare... not even cooked. At this point it was too late for me to leave my hotel and go to the restaurant or grab something else to eat as that's why I chose take out to begin with.. so I called Original Joes and asked the girl if I could speak to the manager. She said yes one second and I heard her say to another girl "she wants to speak to a manager" and then came back and said the manager will call me tomorrow. I informed her that I work 4am-7:30pm so I might not answer. 2 days go by, no one phoned me. So I called again and the manager answered. She said no one left her a message for her to call me. I explained that I was disappointed regarding my food and had to throw away the steak because it wasn't cooked. She said she would talk to the staff etc and call me back. I never heard from her. Just really sucks when you spend over $40 for a steak sandwich and you can't even eat it. I work out of Dawson creek a lot and sadly will never be back to this original Joe's due to the food...

I decided to treat my boys aged 3-5 years old for dinner and dessert.. should have known as we waited a good 10 minutes waiting to be seated. As the restaurant only had 10 tables that were occupied, so not busy, got to our seats. We got our drink order, we waited again to order our food, trying to keep two busy boys entertained while waiting and being hungry,. After 20 minutes we finally ordered our food. Two original burgers with fries and gravy, boys ordered chicken strips and fries. After waiting for 35 minutes one boy got his dinner one chicken strips and fries.. the other boy and myself and husband waited another 20 minutes. Over a hr waiting I finally asked for the bill of what we already had drinks and one order of chicken strips and fries... Then get apologizes for the delay..while the youngest child was fed and the other had to wait for the rest of us to finish.. I won't recommend this place especially if...

Came here for date night - the girl who greeted us complimented my makeup and seemed sooo sweet. Our server was also such a sweetheart. We were seated at a nice booth. The interior is super modern and well laid out. The mini yorkshires and the bruschetta are a can’t miss. Our mains were delicious as well and I love that there’s a choice for two sides - the mashed potatoes are my favourite for an extra dollar. My boyfriend loves the fries. Drinks are so yummy and my only critique would be I don’t think they have an assigned bartender to make all the drinks so drink service was slow - they would definitely benefit from having a bartender make all the drinks so it doesn’t take away from service! We didn’t get it this time since we were so full but the dirt pie is one of my top desserts...
