I’m not pleased at all with the service I received over the phone this evening. First I called at 7pm to see what time they close for takeout orders. I was told as long as your order is placed before 7:45pm and your here to pick it up by 8pm because that’s when we close. I said ok no problem. I’ll call back in about a half hour once I’m finished work to place my order because I was working and didn’t want to place the order unless I new for sure I could make it. So I called back about 40 mins later (7:40 on the dot) to place my order .. which was a SALAD. The lady on the phone told me that the kitchen and restaurant was closed. So I began to tell her I only called about half hour ago and was told as long as I place my order before 7:45pm. She basically told me no that’s incorrect over a flippin salad and started saying the grill was closed.. I said I don’t want my salad grilled... I said well I’m not sure how two people working at the same place would have different rules. She made me feel like I was lying to her and that I didn’t call talking to anyone prior. So I said ok that’s fine I will call the manager tomorrow to tell him what happened and state that rules of closing and ordering should be given to all employees with the same information. All over a salad. Blows my mind. I don’t need the grill man to stay late. And well oviously the server taking the phone call wanted to lock the door earlier to get home earlier.. I did not appreciate how I was treated over a salad. Blows my mind. People are that bad they don’t even want to take your order because it will probably cut into there cash they counted an hour before closing an have to count it again… and wanting to get home earlier, it’s wicket, I will not be supporting deer lake Irving any more after being treated like this. Read moreWe went here for breakfast on Sep 23, 2016. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the server brought out a skillet/pan scrambler type item. I told our server this was not what I ordered and the server’s response was “Yes you did.” I don’t eat cheese or potatoes and there were some other things in it I don’t like so why would I order something I don’t like? She continued to ask “Why would I ask you brown or white and bacon or ham, if you were ordering Eggs Benedict? It doesn’t come with either.” I don’t know your menu so why would I know that?? However, I assumed Brown or White was for the English muffin it sits on and bacon (back bacon) or ham was for what type of meat I wanted on the Eggs Benedict. I told her I didn’t want it and to please get me the eggs benedict I initially ordered. She brought out my order and continued to argue with me, in a very pleasant demeanor, that I ordered the wrong item but not to worry as we all make mistakes. Are you serious?!?! When I initially ordered she asked me to repeat myself and I opened the menu and pointed to it and repeated what I wanted. So NO THE ERROR WAS NOT MINE. My husband went and paid and then on the way home I looked at the bill and she charged me for HER screw up. At the very least if you’re going to still bill for it, give it to us to go. I’m so mad!!! Also, if anyone out there likes Eggs Benedict please note it’s served on Bellona, which was gorse and I like Bellona. Ham or back bacon would be much better. 3 of us haven't ate anything all day and were waiting for another to join us from a flight, so we decided to share 10 wings quickly before (within less than a half hour as we were very limited on time). The waitress obviously didn't like this and literally didn't say ONE word to us after. After multiple "thank you's" from us, even when paying she didn't crack a word. To top it off, they had the AUDACITY to give us NINE wings. She seated a table next to us (still only the third table taken), and asked if she could get them anything to drink while waiting (which she also didn't ask us). I asked her when we first entered how long it would take for 10 wings as we were short on time atm, so she knew first-hand we were sharing one meal and despised us for this. I wish I didn't tip her honestly but I'm not like that. I will NEVER go back here, and we surely didn't return after our fourth person arrived like we originally planned to do. Ignorant behavior from a greedy waitress. Please check the security footage, we were very friendly with every interaction and literally didn't get anything but disrespect back. The waitress that served us was obviously money hungry and shouldn't work dealing with the public. This was my first and last experience...
