Last week, she helped us save SO much time and money by finding us an affordable (and most enjoyable) ride to Rocky Harbor with Kevin from Pittman's Taxi services. She shared some beautiful locations to visit and even kept our heavy backpacks safe and sound in the visitor center so that we have an enjoyable weight-free tour around town!

It was late in afternoon of July 31/23 when we arrived in Deer Lake to discover that due to some kind of a foul up our motel/hotel reservations had been cancelled. And it gets better ! All the hotels in the area were completely booked up, yea no place to stay ! So we went to the Deer Lake Visitors Info. Centre and in short were more than 100% looked after by two wonderful ladies. One was quite young and the other who was say in her fifties. They jumped right in and after a lot of phone calls they found us a place to stay in Rocky Harbour. Man what a releaf for my partner and I who are both over 80 not to have to spend the night in our car ! So to the ladies at the Deer Lake Visitors Info. Centre many many thanks again. ...

I was there a few days ago during my month long Newfoundland vacation, and Sara Simms was extremely helpful in giving me information on the Gros Morne area!! She answered all of my questions and even printed me out a schedule of events for the Woody Point Writer's Festival, and the ferry schedule to the outport villages on Newfoundland's south coast!!
