I don't care what other folks say, regardless if you're local to the area or not, THIS is my choice for BEST INDIAN FOOD in Moncton 🏆
Why? Food = delicious, fair portions for the price, menu offers great variety and hits all the Indian cuisine staples.
Service = I've had Empyrean in both take-out and dine-in in the past. The quality of service from the staff never misses for me. Timely, professional, and accommodating.
Atmosphere = Gawd damn those pendant lights in against the Burgundy/maroon backdrop really sets the mood for virtually any occasion. Date night, business meeting, dinner with the homies, etc. It doesn't matter, you're a real one for choosing to eat here.
I'm a big vindaloo guy, so that's my food recommendation off their menu. Doesn't matter to me if it's chicken, beef, or lamb. The fiery curry (I'd give it a 3.5/5 on the 🔥 scale) with boneless meat and big chunks of potato. DELISH.
Yes, I know other Indian places in Moncton may do better with prices, or different flavours, or portion sizes. But Empyrean, in my mind, is an all-rounder and that's what matters to me the most in this...
Read moreWent on Saturday to try this new place to celebrate a birthday.
It's cosy and beautifully decorated and has soft Indian Background music which adds a lovely calm atmosphere.
PJ welcomed us and recommended several dishes to try as we are novices to Indian Cuisine.
We started with an appetizer platter which was over the top for different tastes and textures. Good selection but should only be ordered for four or more people of you're also each getting a main course. But well worth the price.
PJ also recommended Mutton Rogan Josh lamb, the Beef Madras and the spectacularly tasting Chicken Meth Murgh dish. WOW were these good as we shared the three dished with one order of Rice.
Also shared but big enough for six people was the Nan Bread platter. Good but left most of it behind.
We are going back tomorrow to have a 2nd go as this is the best Indian Restaurant by far Moncton has seen.
PS : They did bring the birthday boy a lovely and tasty desert we all did our best to help eat but we had ordered so much food it was difficult to do but the taste was so special we even...
Read moreOrdered takeaway from Empreyan for the first time- lamb biryani and chicken Hakka noodles. The food was ready on time, and the portions were generous. Taste-wise, no complaints. I had requested Schezwan Hakka noodles, but they leaned toward soy instead of Schezwan. Still, they were flavorful. I later noticed the menu doesn’t list a Schezwan option specifically, so that might explain the flavor change.
What really let me down, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was the chicken Hakka noodles- they had barely any chicken in them. It felt like a game of hide and seek trying to find the pieces. For a dish labeled “chicken” noodles and priced accordingly, I expected much more. It was the same with the biryani- only four small-to-medium lamb pieces in a large box mostly filled with rice.
I’m hoping this was a one-off, because flavor-wise, Empreyan delivers, and I’d love to return, but only if the protein quantity improves. that would really take the experience to...
