I came to this restaurant with great expectations, and I arrived around 7:50 PM. There was no staff at the front desk. Being my first visit, I didn't know how to place an order. I waited at the takeout counter for a while, and a gentleman came out from the kitchen to assist me with my order. I must commend him for his patience and friendliness. He even swapped my fries for a salad upon my request. I'm really grateful to him.
After waiting for a few minutes, my food was quickly given to me. I carried two big bags and prepared to sit in the area to the right of the entrance. However, a waitress-like lady told me that dining there was not allowed, which surprised me. At the same time, I noticed other customers dining in that area. I realized that perhaps she didn't want to accommodate customers who had already packed their food, even if it was from their own restaurant. So I asked her if I could dine in the area to the left of the entrance, and she said it was fine. Later, I found out that the area to the left belonged to another fried chicken and burger joint called Harvey's. The place had no customers at that time, so I randomly chose a seat. I had my meal there for about half an hour, and I cleaned up the table when I finished. I also realized that I had mistakenly occupied Harvey's space instead of the restaurant I ordered from. It was unfortunate, but nobody said anything impolite to us. The staff's professionalism was impressive. Thank you, Harvey's.
Now, let me talk about the taste of the Swiss (brand). Since the food was packed for me, I immediately opened it and started eating. As a result, the fries were very soggy, which is unforgivable in terms of taste. The roasted chicken was dry and lacked juiciness, which didn't make for a pleasant dining experience. For someone who came with high expectations, the disappointment in the taste outweighed the discourteousness of...
Read moreHuge hit for our server from Swiss Chalet, Dieppe last night. Wish I got her name but if she or someone who knows her sees this I hope the message is clear. She’s originally from Saint-Quentin, moved to Edmunston and now in the Moncton/Dieppe area. She is probably the most awesome server we have ever encountered. Very personable, fast, funny and apologetic person. We were a table of four “older” people … two Newfie brothers with their two Acadian sisters better halves. From the get go she was awesome and very attentive but more importantly she made what was already a pleasant experience turn into an awesome experience. We all had the festive special which, despite a few minor hiccups from the kitchen, was pretty good but we will remember the service even more. Anyway, she is one awesome human being and deserves the highest kudos from management! Hoping we get her again on our...
Read moreTamara "The Newfie" was our waitress. ONE of a kind! We pre ordered back on Thanksgiving. The festive feast to be picked up at 645pm. They called us at the time of pick up to tell us that they had no food for us. My husband and I both worked that day so we didn't have time to make dinner. We were very upset to know that we couldn't have Thanksgiving dinner with our family. The Manger ended up giving us coupons for entrees. We went back this evening was seated and then greeted by the most amazing waitress! We explained our situation and she went above and beyond for our family! She was amazing, the food was amazing, overall 10/10! You have an amazing worker there, don't let her go. We told her we would be calling In advance next time so she can be our waitress!
