Sept 29th around 12pm I decided to go for lunch at Manchu Wok with my mom. I got the noodles, honey garlic chicken, and and mushrooms and chicken. These are menu items I normally order at Manchu wok and usually are delicious. I sat down and tasted the noodles. The noodles were bad. They were cold which wasn't the biggest issue, but they had this musty taste to them. It was like they were old and musty on top of being cold. I tried to a couple bites, but I couldn't stomach them. I went to the employees about it asking to switch my noodles to rice. I didn't want to complain about the taste because maybe it was just they changed the recipe. They offered to heat the noodles up for me, I said i'd rather have the rice. They exchanged it to me and were very nice. I sat down again with my meal, and then tried the chicken and mushroom. It had the same bad taste as the noodles. It did not taste right. I asked my mom for a second opinion (She ordered rice and pork so her meal tasted fine). She agreed the chicken did not taste right. I had the honey garlic chicken, it tasted great. But both my noodles and mushrooms and chicken were bad. I went up a second time (I felt very bad returning my food again.) I explained to the lady serving the food that the chicken did not taste right. She told me to go to the cash and get a refund. I went up to the cashier, I explained to her politely how the chicken and noodles had tasted, that they had a musty kind of taste. I said the honey garlic chicken was good, the rice was good, but my noodles I had and other chicken was bad. The cashier said "well we already exchanged the noodles." I said I understand, and I'm not sure if maybe the recipe changed but I can't eat it. She said back, "No we haven't changed the menu. No one has complained but you." I told her I'm not trying to be rude, I got a second opinion on the chicken, they agreed on the taste. I just can't eat this, and if there is anything they can do I'd appreciate it. She just snapped at me that she would give me a refund and just shook her head in frustration.
I'd understand the cashier's attitude if I was being rude to her, but I swear I wasn't. I work in retail, I have for years, I would never be rude to another person just trying to do their job. Plus I understand it's not her fault the food tasted the way it did. But the attitude I got just blew me away. I returned a plate full of food. I wanted a peaceful meal with my mother. Not to have to go up and return everything. I paid $16 dollars for the meal, I wasn't about to waste my money and throw away 2/3 of my meal. I'm sorry if that frustrates the staff that people complain about the food. I'm sorry that according to your employee I'm the only one to send things back, but it was not good, and not worth my money. If poor quality, musty tasting, cold food is going to be served to customers, employees are going to have to have more patience's dealing with refunds. And not take it so personally.
So disappointed. I hope your staff doesn't encounter dealing with a much more vocal impatience customer whose also unhappy with food. Couldn't believe the attitude of the cashier. Simply...
Read moreDoesn’t even deserve a one star to be honest. Me and my family went over to order our meals. We were looking at the menu but this one lady kept on asking what we were going to have on and on as if she wanted us to leave even when we told them it’ll be a minute. We finally ended up ordering three plates and a side in total. Came around 60 some dollars so we asked for a detailed receipt. When we took a look at the receipt they’ve charged us for 4 plates and a side, which they’ve over charged us. We went back over and told the lady on cash that they’ve over charged us but she didn’t say a single apology and said “I owe you one plate”, as if she purposely over charged us. Didn’t even ask us if it was going back on our debit, basically threw the change at us. As we left there was still no apology or what so ever. I really liked this place but I think I won’t be going back anymore. Take a look at your receipt. Who knows this is there first time...
Read moreThis was my first visit here to be honest i felt that i will never go here again. They don’t value you as customer. I told the lady who was putting food into container that i am having food allergy rather than taking it seriously they were making fun of me. Those two ladies at front was talking in their own language that i don’t but it felt like insulting and they do-not value your opioid at all. When i was paying they expect you to add TIP but kind of service that i got there I wouldn’t never tip them. While i made myself perfectly clear about my food allergy choices they were still offering me some shrimp curry and then they are were laughing as i am fool.
I highly recommend to visit other outlets in mall rather than to get...
