Homestyle Cafe — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

We went early (couple) and the restaurant was at about 40% capacity. As we were waiting to be seated one of the staff was being openly rude to another staff member in a way that I would never allow in my restaurant. The person being yelled at was hustling and was the one that seated us. She was very polite and respectful. Our server ended up being the abusive staff member. We were given menus and coffee but then it took a long time for service. Even though it wasn't busy, when we got our food we were kind of forgotten. Our server continued to be openly rude to staff and cold to us. When we went up to pay our server, I mentioned to her that we thought her behaviour toward her coworker was unacceptable and that we wanted to let her know that it was noticed by patrons. She said words to the effect of "When I ask someone to do a simple task and they can't do it" I said well after you said that to your staff member you went over to the table that you were serving and said "I can't even" and rolled your eyes. She continued to make excuses for her behaviour like the staff member deserved it. We asked if there is a shift manager and she said that she was in that role. We were shocked. With her lack of awareness and customer service, I'm sure that this is regular behaviour by this person. It's difficult to support a business who openly treats staff...

The restaurant is quite roomy, but still personal and homey. The rooms are very well lit by nice, large windows. Tables and seats were well kept and clean. It has been a long, long time, since we were here last.The last time we were here, the service was absolutely terrible and ignorant, while the food kinda just put together and sortof OK. Today, we came in for breakfast, and were quite taken by the quality of the food and the service. The really good coffee flow is a reason alone to come back here, for more. The cups were routinely filled with a smile. The server was more than patient and accommodating. There were no unnecessary delays. When asked, she mentioned that the management had changed some time ago.

The food was delicious, and the amount of ham I got with my breakfast was more than average. Prices are decent!

If they keep this type of service up, they will be able to count us to their regulars, whenever we come to Bracebridge. See photos for menu...

Wow ! This place is officially our GO TO brunch spot in Bracebridge. My husband and I don’t get many dates and coming here made our entire morning blissful !

Hubby ordered the Meat Lovers Skillet- it blew his mind. The portion size was HUGE and the flavour in the food was perfection. The chefs use of seasonings on the home fries and the fantastic favour in the PERFECT hollandaise sauce made this fantastic ! Was such a great portion size that we brought some home for our late night snack !

I had the Original Eggs Benny! Best eggs Benny. Have had in a love time. I literally cannot rave more about the taste of the hollandaise- perfect acidity ! I wish we brought a tub of that home ! Great portion size and food was fast and hot !

We will 10000% be back and will always recommend this place to friends and family
