Hello everybody, I wanted to just make a quick review about an accessibility issue that we faced at this Starbucks the previous weekend on May 19. On Sunday, I went to Starbucks with my service dog, and friends also have service dogs. Upon entering the store, we waited in line for our turn and then were told by one of the employees that our dogs were not allowed in the store due to them not being vested. I told the employee that legally a service dog does not have to be vested as long as it provides help to its handler. She walked away and grabbed the manager. Once the manager arrived, she asked if our dogs were service dogs, and we said yes, and then proceeded to say we had to leave due to our dogs not being vested. I once again mentioned that they did not have to be vested and also mentioned the reason why theyāre not. It was a very warm day, and who would wear a winter jacket in 30° weather? The answer is nobody, nor would our dogs want to wear vests in the heat. The manager once again repeated that they had to be vested or they must leave, and I asked where this was stated, and she said it was a Starbucks policy. After a little bit of back-and-forth of me trying to explain that it is an Ontario law, we decided to leave and wait outside while the one handler that had a āvestedā service dog got our drinks. After leaving the store, we sat outside and looked through the Starbucks service dog policies, and it was nowhere to be found that a service dog had to be vested. The manager's explanation was because of them shedding. Shedding does not stop. It is important to mention that all of our service dogs were quietly sitting down on the floor away from any food. Service dogs provide important tasks to their handlers, and this manager and employees were either falsely informed or decided that they wouldnāt enforce a rule that was not in place. This disrupts our lives and our medical equipment due to misinformation. What Iām trying to say is that after we tried to educate the manager, she simply kicked us out. This has happened to one of my friends at this location previously, and after she asked for evidence of this, the manager just told her to leave. I will be providing the Ontario law as a source as well as the Starbucks website information, where nowhere does it say that a service dog needs to be vested. Another important note is that the service dogs were labeled as well so they did have a form of identification...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I are regular Starbucks customers for a little over 30 years .We have seen a lot of unprofessional carelessness, unclean tables, and bathrooms in different locations over the years, but loud hooligan behavior and abusive power we have witnessed the first time yesterday. We wore appalled!24 March 2025 My wife and I visited Sturbucks coffee shop at Brasbredge ON and ordered 2 venty drinks coffee and i ask the sales person bring our order to our table, because coffee wasn't ready yet and I needed to step out for meting some person and show her our table where my wife was seated. She replayed in an incredibly rude manner, " I don't have time for that! You must pick up your order yourself!" Next day we went again to the same location and it was tenegeer this time who just walked into the shop and sat down, started setting up his and laptop. Suddenly, the same employee who was rude with us yesterday in laud, aggressive manner approached him and started hovering over his head yelling "Are you planning to order something or not ?And if not just leave the shop!" This 2 incidents never happened in any Starbucks locations North America! Shame!!! I'm sure management must be fired and never allowed to work with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in to place my order and I was the only person in there. Took my order fast but then I waited 10mins for a Refresher. Literally 2 juices and ice mixed together. I left and got half way to work before trying a sip and when I did it was completely sour. Not drinkable. It tasted like they put straight pineapple juice in it. I turned around and went back. Went in to the counter, to the girl that made the drink and served me, and said "I think you might need to remake this, it's so sour it isn't not drinkable".
Blank Stare
She took it from the counter and went to make a new one. Hands me the new one, I try it right there.
"Thanks, that tastes much better"
Blank Stare then turns and walks away.
Not an 'I'm Sorry', 'Sorry About That', nothing! What kind of customer service is that? Seriously, you made a mistake just say Sorry! An apology goes a long way in a situation like this. Never again. Spend $$ on drink made wrong AND horrible customer...
