The grilled chicken patty was much smaller than the bun, which I was willing to overlook, but the chicken was very hard. It was after 10 pm, so maybe it was old, but perhaps the grilled chicken option should have been removed from the menu if they are not able to provide edible product. Or did they just hope I would not come back, as it was a take out order?
I showed the manager the chicken patty and he seemed more focussed on the part I had eaten, than the inedible part. He offered a replacement grilled chicken patty, which I was not interested in after the first one. He refused to give me a crispy chicken patty instead, but returned half the cost of the chicken burger (kept the rest because I ate the toppings and bun)! I was suprized at the grudging customer service. I will not return or recommend this Harvey’s (490 Blvd St. Joseph, Drummondville, QC), though the other items (crispy chicken & onion rings) were reasonable, and the initial counter service was fine.
Also, the floors were greasy in several places, and the men’s washroom was out of toilet paper, and seat was loose. There were no other customers in the restaurant and only one car at the drive through - maybe they were waiting to clean until after...
Read moreI went to the Drummondville location. I ordered a hamburger trio with beacon and cheese. I was really surprised when I took a bite and couldn't taste the beacon. I opened the hamburger up and found only half a slice of beacon . they charged me a extra for cheese and beacon. I went to the counter to ask if this was normal and the person the counter ( with a sarcastic remark) this how we prepare it. When i asked for a manger she responded with a smile " there is no manager on the weekends". I feel that i was ripped off. She did not even offer to put another slice of beacon on my burger. I have ordered this trio many time and usually there is 2 slices of beacon. I will not be visiting harvey's again, I will go to wendy's less then a block away. At lease when I order a burger with beacon I will get...
Read moreHarvey's is one of those old fast food institutions here in Quebec. It rates amongst the other usual fast food burger offerings, but, only recently did I start going back to it and realized how wrong I was. The burgers are the best looking and tasting. It feels like one of the new trendy places which serves up great looking burgers. The meat is fabulously grilled and you get to build your burger toppings. This Canadian staple has aged well and is the best choice in my mind for a great tasting burger every time. I had the Three cheese and bacon Angus burger with fries. Great choice at a competitive price. Way outshines the rubbery golden arches's offerings.
Service was quick and polite at...
