Sunset Grill — Restaurant in East Gwillimbury

Excellent food, staff and a welcoming warm vibe ! Extremely helpful too, as I’m steering clear of (cow) dairy our waitress checked to see if there was any cows milk in the feta cheese for me! Huge kudos there. So ... Instead of driving through (the Getting worse by the day) “Let’s cut back on employee benefits because society enforces us to pay them an almost liveable wage” Tim’s, who have to use 18% cream to mask the tase of “their coffee” or McCafe who even though they now have the rights to the old “good” Tim’s “Mother Parkers” blend, still can’t get the GMO laced & Factory farmed Greenhouse Gas belching food “product” order right! Honestly, you have better odds of winning while playing Craps in Vegas, then your chances of getting your coffee the way you want, only to realize that as you drive away from the golden arches... So... Drive past The aforementioned “Must rush the customer through the assembly line drive through ASAP” and give yourself the time and care you deserve and go into The Sunset Grill for a healthy and delicious breakfast or lunch... free refills of always delicious coffee and a lollipop for the kids (no matter how old!) on...

Was my first time here. Good food overall. I'm violently celiac and they had gluten-free toast -- that didn't suck -- which was a surprise (if you're celiac, you know what I mean...). The bacon was also beautiful in quality, and how it was cooked.

The loss of the fifth star was only due to mildly disappointing service; nothing crazy, but waited a little too long for already-requested coffee refills (every time took longer than was acceptable for, well, coffee.). Seemed to be a little understaffed at the time. Whether someone called in sick or something else, another server on-hand would have made it all the better for everyone; the cost of the server would have been worth it (to the owner that thanked me for my 4-stars: I say the latter having run a business for a long time, not just blindly stating the obvious that more staff on-hand is useful, haha).

All that being said, I will definitely...

Been here on multiple occasions. I have tried almost everything in the menu. Like others have mentioned, the food is not too greasy and it is just right. 9 out of 10 times the service is great even though they seen to aways be busy during breakfast. The 1 out of 10 times service is not great, is simply due to the server. But i have had so many good experiences that i cannot blame 1 bad server on the entire restaurant. Coffee does seem to be cold on more than one occasion, and sometimes there is not milk or creme with the coffee, so therefore you need to ask and the not so hot coffee becomes even colder by the time the milk gets to the table. French toast is definitely much better than the pancakes as well!

Overall great breakfast place i always catch my self at during weekends.
