A great experience and couldn’t have been better with our party of 30 people. Came here for a work Xmas party and everything was on point. From the food, being tasty to the service to the vibes of the place. I had the beer town burger with the beertown salad and the brownie to end. The burger was great. Not too greasy and still a juicy smash burger. The brownie was awesome. First of all, the portion of the brownie was perfect for a dessert sharing plate. Salad was what you would expect from a salad but the dressing with the dried cranberries gave it a double whammy of flavour combining sweet and savoury As an FYI, fish and chips was one of the top orders for our party and it looks like a good fish n chips too Service was on point with our waitress and waiter. She was attentive and catered to all our needs and knew from me looking at the drinks menu for a bit to come and make some recommendations without having me to ask her to take the order. Seen beertown from passing through downtown Toronto and since the opportunity came up, knew i had to put beertown’s name in for possible venue for this newmarket location and it did not disappoint. Parking is ample with a huge lot within an already huge plaza. Great job overall!

Visited on a Friday afternoon for lunch, first impression was wow! i love the industrial look, the layout is cool and it probably looks really nice in the summertime. We were seated promptly and Chris was our server. Great selection of food , unfortunately i dont drink and my hubby was in day 3 after getting his wisdom teeth extracted so he couldnt drink either. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip (the pretzels are so soft and delicious!!) the chips that came with were also seasoned very well! I ordered the brisket burger and he ordered the brisket platter. It was like cutting butter, the meat was so tender and juicy! my burger was so satiating, We actually had to take our food to go because we were both so stuffed. I requested for the tomato basil soup on the side but that was not my fave. Overall, we really loved our experience, Chris was a great server and our food was delicious. Hope to be back and possibly host my birthday dinner here as it looks like a lively restaurant :)

Ate here for the first time tonight and had a great meal. Our table was ready on time and once seated our server explained the drinks menu to us ( it is very extensive) and we all enjoyed our drinks. We shared the warm artichoke dip with seasoned chips and the most amazing soft pretzel bread. Honestly, may just order that for myself next time as a meal - it was that good! Our entrees were fresh and serving sizes very generous. I had the Brie and Bacon burger and it was wonderful. The fries were a bit blah but the burger was spectacular. Hubby had the Cowboy Brisket Bowl and raved about it. Our friend had the steak sandwich with caesar salad and it he loved it. Apparently the salad was one of the best he’d ever had. Our other friend had the Blueberry and Goat cheese salad and said it was excellent. Service was very efficient even though the restaurant was quite busy. I will not hesitate to eat here but would substitute the fries for the Caesar salad next time.

My friends and I arrived and sat a round table there was 8 of us - we pulled up an extra 2 chairs to our table as we asked other people if we could use the chair, the table was only meant for 6 people but we asked them to let us know if a larger table opened up. The manager Sabrina then came over and brought us to a larger table - at this point we had all ordered one drink and wanted to order our meals and another drink. We sat at the table for over 25 minutes and no one came over - one person from our group went to the bar to order a beer and say that we wanted to order food. The manager Sabrina rushed over to the bar and told the bartenders not to serve us because we sat TWO extra people at our table and she was the one who brought us to the new bigger table? Then told us we would not be served because we sat an two people at our original table. We told her we just wanted to order food and drinks and told us to that we need to leave or she will call the cops. My entire friend group was absolutely SHOCKED and had no idea why we would be asked to leave - there were empty tables all around us so the restaurant wasn’t even full. Sabrina was clearly having a power trip to turn away paying customers who were just sitting at their table chatting amongst themselves. We exhibited ZERO disruptive behaviour or were not rude to anyone until we were getting kicked out for NO reason. She was the one that brought us to the new table and then told the serves and bartenders not to serve us for the rest of the night and was just going to leave us sitting there. She was extremely rude and would not dignify any response other than here’s my card please leave. She didn’t even treat us like human beings ! So annoyed because my friends and I would come here to enjoy the food and atmosphere. This was a one of the most astonishing situations I’ve ever had in...

We tried beertown last night with another couple after months of friends ranting and raving about it. Mediocre service, granted, it was a packed Saturday night at prime time. The food was alright, but the price tag was steep for the quality of it.

We started with the salt and pepper Calimari, which was super quick turn around. It tasted decent, although oily and not super crispy

For entrees I got the brisket platter, my wife got the fish tacos, our friends got the steak and frites and the Mac and cheese.

The fish tacos and steak showed up after a short time. The other two entrees came out 5 or so minutes after, leaving half the table waiting. When the delayed entrees showed up, the beans and the max n cheese appeared slightly dried/glazed over as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp in the back the entire time. The brisket was alright, nothing too special. A dry, but fairly thick slab. For the majority of the table, the fries were very over done. The Ketchup seemed watered down and swished around the dipping sauce bowl like a watery sauce, as well as the guacamole in the fish tacos was super liquidy and fairly off putting in consistency. Our waitress came back to check on us very shortly after our entrees came out and we hadn’t dug in yet. We didn’t see her again until we’d eaten most of the meal and our glasses had been sitting empty for a few minutes and had to actually get her attention to try and get our bills started, etc.

Overall, meh. The beer selection and atmosphere are cool, but there’s a lot of places around where you can get much better food and service for a similar price tag.

Hopefully it was just an off night, as the other reviews seem to be super positive and the place was packed. I doubt we will be...

This was me and my wife’s 4th time coming to this location and we were very disappointed. We had previously had amazing experiences at this place as a little weekday date night or celebrating a family birthday. But this past weekend we were let down. We went out for dinner with some friends who we don’t see often and so we wanted to bring them somewhere for a nice dinner. We got everything other than a nice dinner. Upon arrival we were placed in the back corner, while I normally wouldn’t complain about this I will this time. The seats at this table were very uncomfortable and the place was not very busy. Secondly it took way too long for us to get our food. We arrived at 5:10 for our reservation and we ordered drinks. We got our drinks at 5:45 and then got to place an order for food. We ordered the calamari for table as we had this previously and it was great. But this didn’t come out until 6:45 and it looked like they dumped in the crumbs that were left over, most of the “calamari” in the bowl was just fried batter with nothing in it. Finally out entree didn’t arrive until 7:30… over 2 hours after arrival on a not busy Friday. Our food was quite lack lustre. I will speak on my own food as that is what I had. I ordered the shrimp tacos which are the special right now. The shrimp were not seasoned at all. So the tacos relied on the sauce provided for any flavour and it was not that good. Then the fries on the side were very small compared to other times we went. All of this is based of our previous experiences at this location. Seeing that they opened up only this summer our experiences have been recent so the serve dropping this fast should not be happening. We are not sure if we will go back to them as there are so many places to eat...
