A Hidden Gem in Edmonton – A Must-Visit!
Eat and Dip is truly a special place! From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth of a family-owned restaurant where hospitality is at the heart of everything. The owner is incredibly generous, and his wife welcomes you like family, making every visit a delightful experience.
This was one of the first places my family discovered when we moved to Edmonton, and it quickly became a favorite. The Sweety Bites are absolutely to die for! Even though I don’t have a sweet tooth, I just can’t resist them. The owner makes them fresh right in front of you, serving them hot and perfectly balanced in sweetness—ideal even for those who usually shy away from desserts. And the cherry on top? He always offers free coffee to go with them!
Beyond the Sweety Bites, the menu is varied, homemade, and simply delicious. The portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable—great value for the quality and quantity of food you get.
But what truly sets Eat and Dip apart is the atmosphere. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the experience. My family loves coming here, not only for the amazing meals but also for the wonderful conversations with the owner and his wife. You can feel the passion in the way the owner describes his food, making you appreciate every bite even more.
If you’re looking for a place with great food, a warm and welcoming ambiance, and a chance to chat with genuinely kind and passionate people, Eat and Dip is the place to go....
Read moreDon't know why Google didn't post the first one, but whatever. This place doesn't need my Review as everyone loves this place. However, the Food, the People who own/Run the Store are absolutely fantastic. I've been there three times now. I've had their Donair Poutine, and twice have had a Donair. These lovely People are NOT stingy when it comes to how much meat they give, the toppings or sauce. Even when putting the Donair in a Combo, which at $20 sounds expensive. Again, the amount of Fries put in the bad is insane. Puts every other large chain to shame. They have a plethora of sauces for Dipping etc (I love the Spicy Chipotle (safe spicy trust me), and the Garlic one is awesome too. I've always tried two of their baked treats but I forgot what they were sorry. One I remember where these Chocolate Ball things, and they were fantastic. And I had some kind of cake thing if I remember...of course it was awesome too. Both a good and bad thing, I won't be in the area for much longer, as My job is nearly finished. But I'd be WAY bigger than I already am if I ate there as often as I want too. Thank You again to the Family and Staff who run the place. I wish You so much success...
Read moreVery great place. When I first arrived and started looking at the menu, a young kid probably 10-13 years old was ordering a poutine. He was a little short and the man behind the till told the boy to give him whatever he had instead of telling him he would have enough for his poutine if he didn't have a pop.
The man was very friendly, gave me a physical menu instead of reading the boards.
The chicken chunks were delicious, they were not the cheap chicken you get in most nuggets/strips. The fries were a little over cooked for my liking, that's the only thing I can critic about Eat & Dip.
I realized the man was the owner. He pulled out a highchair for my daughter and was very kind to her. I overheard him speaking with the owner of the restaurant that just opened right next door sharing tips on how to drum up business and his navigation through Covid. I thought this was very nice to see.
The young girl was also very sweet to my daughter and my daughter absolutely loved her.
Your hospitality was a level I have only experienced a few times in my life! Please keep doing what you're doing. I will definitely be back.
Thank...
