Elfino Kabab and Shawarma is an absolute treasure for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors. From the moment you step in, the inviting aroma of charcoal-grilled meats sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.
I had the pleasure of trying their Mixed Grill Platter, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The charcoal-grilled chicken (shish tawook) was tender and juicy, the beef kebabs were flavorful, and the rice had a delightful smoky essence that elevated the entire meal. The accompanying hummus, garlic dip, and fresh salad with pomegranate seeds added the perfect balance to the rich meats. As noted in a review by Edify Edmonton, “The rice alone is a highlight, because I didn’t think you could make this grain taste like you’d taken it out of a smoker — but I guess you can.”
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. It’s evident that they take pride in their food and service.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through Edmonton, Elfino Kabab and Shawarma is a must-visit. Their commitment to quality and authenticity shines through in every dish. Highly...
Read moreIf there is any restaurant that can thrive just on the quality and taste of the food despite a very unpleasing ambiance, tired and unhappy looking cooks and servers, it is this one. The quality of food is very good.
I went with my wife to dine in and ordered $70 worth of food for just the two of us. The Kibbi however had frozen ground meat in the centre.
When we sat down to eat and in the middle of eating asked for water, we were told that no water can be served, and that we will have to buy the cheap Walmart quality water for $1.99 per bottle. What a shame! They call themselves a restaurant, but can't serve water with the food. It was a disappointment to see such a cheap tactic to generate revenue, it is demeaning and an insult to the dine-in customers.
When I complained to the manager, he had all the reasons and excuses in the world to not serve water to customers when they order food.
Never going there again. And yes they did not...
Read moreWent for lunch with the family and ordered the El Fino and Beef Shawarma platters and the Baba Ghanouj.
The platters were both really tasty and plentiful. The salad that came with the platters was fresh and paired perfectly with the dish. I didn't think the chicken was spicy at all though despite the menu description. The garlic sauce that comes with the platter has a creamy texture and good flavor (could have a stronger garlic flavor).
This was my first time having Baba Ghanouj (ordered it on recommendation from the owner) and we weren't big fans. I don't having anything to compare to, so maybe it's just a preference thing. It would also have been nice if the pita was was warmed up somehow rather than straight out of the bag.
The owner is really friendly. He saw how much my son liked the garlic sauce with the pita and came by to give us more. This place will definitely be a regular...
