Let me start this by saying. I don't write bad reviews. I understand people have bad days and so I usually let it slide.
But I can honestly say if I owned this location the assistant manager Endagi that was working tonight would not be coming back. The owner should be disgusted and embarrassed by the actions of their assistant manager tonight. I know I was.
We came in around 830. We were a fairly large table and there was another fairly large table in there. We got seated and provided menus. Our waitress Abi came took our drink order and got our kids their food pretty quick. Let me add that Abi did an amazing job and was an awesome waitress. I digress, we are sitting down and this table of maybe 6-8 18ish year old boys come in. They sit down get some drinks. After a short while they start to get rowdy. They're being a little too much for the restaurant so the assistant manager comes out screams at them to get out of the restaurant then dissappears again. Well they didn't listen to our waitress who always was waiting their table goes up to them and gets them to leave. Mind you she's being very polite but they're listening. She goes over to get them out but they want to talk to try to convince the employees to let them stay. Well our waitress is talking to them then the assistant manager comes out of nowhere. Starts yelling at them they need to leave and blah blah blah.
So after this table leaves we are just waiting for our food. We hear this noise coming from the back. Keep in mind this all happened in the first 10ish minutes of us being here. Well the assistant manager is yelling at our waitress. No I'm not exaggerating. She was yelling. The whole restaurant can hear. Well I kid you not this goes on for the entire time we are there. The poor girl Abi is crying and still bringing us our food and whatever we need. The assistant manager spends the entire time we are there degrading this poor girl. Mind you we were there for 2 hours at least.
After all of this the assistant manager comes out to us to try to defend why she was screaming and making this poor girl cry. As if there is any reason to be treating your staff like that. Well guess what. She was so busy yelling at this poor girl the whole night she didn't even care our order was wrong! This poor girl kept doing her best even with the constant voice telling her how horrible she was.
The assistant manager tried telling us she was getting mad at her because she should've been the one kicking that table out not our waitress. Well guess what you weren't thats why she stepped up and did it. Not to mention as I said before she was being very polite and respectful while kicking that table out.
All I can say in a short form is that assistant managers behavior discussed me and I was embarrassed for the owner of this location. If this was my restaurant and I knew my assistant manager was making a scene like that infront of customers and treating one of my staff members like that they would be out and never allowed back because behavior like that is unacceptable. We told our waitress that no job is worth that. She's more valuable than a job that can't even respect her enough to talk to her politely. I'm discusted by the actions we saw tonight and I really hope the owner takes this seriously and does something about the assistant manager because that is disgraceful to a company and the staff. No one deserves to be treated...
Read moreI really enjoyed the food! It was great! Came with the fam and tried to have a good casual meal out. The host that served us was fantastic! I feel like he probably did more than the server. So.. Back story.. The server seated us with four roll ups at a dirty table with well pronounced sticky glass rings.. We waited probably about 10 minutes with no service.. The host came back saying the server was busy and asked to take out drink order. We kind of gave him not only our drink order but also an appy order as we came in hungry and noted the wait time for service. The host brought our drinks and also our appetizers when they were ready. After consuming about half the appetizer order was finally when I saw our actual “server”. At which point we ordered our meals. Again the food came out great.. However we ordered pizza and pasta and did not get any plates, parm, or chilies. There was also no pizza server to move the pizza to our plates. Which I also noted as a thing on other tables.. Drinks we’re going empty often. At one point my 11 year old child was going to go up to the service station to ask for a refill for her beverage. When asked for a refill on my drink I was told there would be an up charge and I literally had to show the “server” the menu that indeed there should not be. But I feel like that was because again she didn’t really serve us at all. I was really wondering where exactly the manager was. I did not see one at all in our over hour and a half in this establishment. Even the bartender from the lounge came to help clear tables because no one was. I am a server. This is almost crazily unacceptable. If it wasn’t for the food and the host that did most of our service I would have left a one star. I was actually a little sad that I didn’t see him on our way out as he was going to personally get a tip and I didn’t just want to leave it on the table as an extra...
Read moreReturning to another location of the same restaurant was like revisiting an old friend—with the added excitement of discovering something new. As with the Palisades location, this branch of the restaurant did not disappoint.
Of course, I couldn't resist ordering the butter chicken once again, and let me tell you, it was just as divine as I remembered. Tender chicken swimming in a velvety sauce that tantalized the taste buds with its perfect balance of spices. Each bite was a journey of flavor that left me speechless, my boongas thoroughly blown once again.
In addition to the butter chicken, I decided to venture into uncharted territory and try the lamb biryani. While the dish had its merits—the fragrant rice, the tender pieces of lamb—I couldn't help but feel that it fell slightly short of perfection. Here are a few suggestions to take it to the next level:
More Spice: While the flavors were pleasant, a bit more heat would elevate the dish and add an extra layer of complexity. Texture Variation: Incorporating some toasted nuts or crispy fried onions would provide a delightful contrast to the tender meat and fluffy rice. Presentation: A sprinkle of fresh herbs or a drizzle of fragrant ghee on top would not only enhance the visual appeal but also infuse the dish with additional flavor.
Overall, my experience at this branch of the restaurant was exceptional, reaffirming my belief in the consistency and quality of their offerings. With a few tweaks to the lamb biryani, it could easily become another standout dish on their menu. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their culinary delights...
