This was recommended by our friends in Edmonton. We just had to grab a quick lunch before driving back to Calgary and we're glad we chose this place to have lunch over a Chinese restaurant that was also recommended. Place is tiny with only a few tables and some people had to wait to be sitted. It was lunch time so it was understandable. We ordered meat platter and sinigang na sugpo. They're delicious! On point! The meat were bbqued well and the sinigang had the perfect sour. It contained 4 pieces of sugpo which was enough for my husband and I. The 2 viands with rice were more than enough for the both of us and we had to take home our left overs. I also ordered taho and 2 piece turon for dessert. The taho would have been good but I prefer it warm- they served it cold straight from the fridge. The turon on the other had was good but it had a fish taste. It seem like they made use of the same oil they use for frying fish. Though I didn't mind but it could have been better. They can also add more sugar. I think the value and quality of food is good. Service is okay something you expect from the Philippines. They put automatic 10% service charge so we didn't bother adding tip. We'll definitely go back there again to our next visit in Edmonton.

Wow. What an amazing experience! The service was great and the food was outstanding. The restaurant itself is a little hole-in-the-wall place located in a strip-mall just off 127th. The interior isn’t bad, but it seems like take-out is more of a priority than dine-in. It was kinda middle-of-the-road when it came to dining atmosphere. The food, however, was fantastic. I ordered the peanut pork Kare Kare. The pork was golden crispy on the outside, but melted in your mouth in the inside. While it wasn’t lean by any stretch of the imagination, the discerning food lover will know that fat=flavour. The sauce was a sweet and savoury peanut sauce mixed with vegetables. It went well with both the pork and the massive “side” of rice I ordered. My son ordered the coconut pork Bicol Express served with beans and eggplant. It had a flavour similar to a very mild Thai green curry, though the Filipino coconut was pink in colour. The vegetables and the sauce were incredible and also went very well with the rice. The pork was lean and crispy and highlighted the dish. There is so much more on the menu that I would like to explore and I’ll definitely be back.

This is “authentic” in the sense that you’d get the same lousy customer service as if you were actually in the Philippines. It took at least an hour for 4 measly spring rolls to come out. All we ordered was fried rice. What kind of restaurant takes over an hour to fry rice? Even a shrimp could fry rice faster and better than this. By the time the fried rice came out, it was as cold as a corpse and we weren’t even hungry anymore. The two families who arrived after we did got ALL of their orders out first before we even got our spring rolls. I can’t tell what’s worse, the food or the service. No wonder this place has really bad reviews, they really uphold their reputation. If you’re thinking of coming here, just drive a little farther and buy your own ingredients from Superstore across the street and cook your own food. The server only knows how to take orders but not bring the food out or follow up with customers. You could literally go to the busiest Costco food court on the planet and receive better food AND service than from this place. 5/5 avoid at all costs, would avoid again.

Very poor customer service experience! A couple weeks ago, we dined here. There were only 4-5 tables seated when we arrived, and everyone was waiting for service. There were 2 front staff working at the time, but both were pre-occupied with other things. The elderly lady working could barely walk, and I felt bad for her. She should not have been there, leaving one younger fellow to do most of the running to tables. After a ridiculous amount of time, someone finally came to take our order. Getting drink refills was out of the question, nobody came by to check on us at any point. When the food came, there was an error with our order, nothing major, so we accepted it without incident. At this time, my son ordered a coke. The waiter forgot about this, so eventually my son went to the counter to remind him about the coke. He apologized and said he would bring it right out. (the pop cooler was literally right behind him at the counter). He continued on doing other things and AGAIN forgot to bring the can of coke. Eventually he passed near our table, and again, we reminded him about the can of coke. At this time, he went behind the counter and grabbed the can of coke and brought it to our table. He apologized, and told us "this is on the house because we waited so patiently for him and he took the responsibility for missing this order" We finished our food and were glad to be leaving when the bill came and we went to the register to pay. It was at this point the male server walked by the cashier and he told her "Dont forget to add 1 can of coke to that bill. I forgot to add it when I rang the order up". My wife and I just looked at each other and said "You have got to be kidding me! " I have had some bad dining experiences, but I have had dental visits I was more excited to return to. Our service this day was absolutely ridiculous and there is nothing that would get me to return to that location again. We tell this story to friends and family and laugh about how terrible this...
