Came here for a birthday brunch mid September. Food was tasting good until I bit into something, spit it out, and it turns out it was an artificial nail. I was shocked and called the server over who had the meal remade. The manager on duty (I assume as she was different from the server) came over to apologize and inform me that she checked everyone’s nails on staff and none of them were wearing artificial nails. Great, but could this not have happened during food preparation on a different day? Because I definitely didn’t bring loose nails to plant into my food?? When bringing me new cutlery, the manager also indiscreetly took a close look at my nails (which were bare). We paid the bill in full and left. It seemed as if the staff took no accountability for this mishap and put the blame onto me. We weren’t expecting them to compensate us, but as someone who has worked in the food industry it’s absolutely unacceptable to find a fake nail in your food from a reputable establishment and compensation is the absolute LEAST that could have been done. I emailed customer service as well and have not heard from them at all. This was a very...
Read moreThis was our first time at this location and only because no one picked up the phone at the location we went in the past. We were seated right away as the restaurant was not crowded at that point. Kairah approached the table with the menus, introduced herself and asked if we wanted to start with some coffee. Which was plentiful throughout the meal. We ordered crêpes with chorizo and goat cheese and one with ham and goat cheese just for something different. I must say it was tasty, but my all time favourite is Eggs Benny. For dessert we had blueberry pancakes and crêpe filled with fresh fruits and cream. Desert plates were excellent and so big, that we took them home for afternoon snack. All dishes were approximately around 20$ so the breakfast was about 100$ including the drinks. The restaurant got very busy in meantime, but Kairah didn’t disappoint us with her attentiveness towards us. Great food, lovely atmosphere and...
Read moreWhen we had arrived during a time that seemed fairly average. There was no line to wait for seating but many tables were full. Upon being seated we waited 15 minutes before being asked if anyone had taken our order yet; we didn't even get a glass of water for 20 minutes. It had seemed that our hostess didn't know we were seated in her "area", as there were 3 different servers helping those around us... When we finally got our food it was fairly basic, and cheap. I had gotten "breakfast hotdogs" and was disappointed to see that the cheese was processed and not real cheddar. The potatoes that were served on the side were also fairly bland. My partner had gotten a crepe, and although it was large, he mentioned that it was not very satisfying. The options were also fairly limited within the menu. This was my first time at a Cora's and I must say that although it wasn't terrible, it was nothing special and I likely...
