McDonald's — Restaurant in Edmonton

Lived by this McDonald’s for almost a year now. Literally every time I order from there, whether it be in person, thru the McDonalds app, or Uber Eats, they always fxck something up or they don’t have something. Order a chocolate shake, they’ll give me a strawberry one. Even when my receipt clearly says chocolate. That’s IF the ice cream machine is even working. Or it will be turned off at a ridiculous hour like just after 10pm. Called and asked why it was off & they told me they turn it off after a certain time & im pretty sure it was a Friday or Saturday night. Do they not know people have drunk munchies or people have movie nights with their families... what a dumb time to turn off the ice cream machine. I’ve gotten into a habit of calling the mcdonalds before I actually put my order in because I have to make sure they have everything in stock or on & working & half the time if I’m ordering at night, they never answer their phone. I spoke with a manager on day shift about it the next day & he even told me they’re supposed to answer the phone any time it rings... well obviously night shift isn’t doing their job. One time, my boyfriend ordered 2 spicy chicken burgers, one was supposed to be normal & the other one plain (which obvs means no sauces or veggies..) they sent the normal one & then just a single spicy chicken patty in a box by its self, no bun— nothing. I worked at McDonald’s for 3 years when I was younger, it was...

I was at this location on Feb 9th 2023 at about 1:05 AM and although I've never left a review anywhere, let alone from my corporate gmail account, I felt compelled to after experiencing the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This Mcdonald's will frequently park you to manipulate their drive thru times regardless as to whether there is a vehicle behind you or not. I POLITELY pointed out to the employee (politely and verbatim) "There are no cars behind me, I will pull ahead but I'd like the franchisee's name and email address first to inform them that you are manipulating your d/t times". This employee replied "I don't have that information but I'll talk to my manager". I was ok with that and pulled ahead. I had barely parked when the 'manager' (short girl, red hair) came out with my food yelling at me for "screaming" at her employee and being rude to her (this was not the case at all. I am a professional and handle myself accordingly). She carried on very loudly, obnoxiously, and very clearly angrily about a competition with other restaurants for drive thru times and that's why they parked me. She kept yelling as she walked away back towards the restaurant. I have NEVER in my life experienced such horrible customer service.

Oh, and the order was wrong. The Habenero sauce was for the McChicken not the Big...

Writing this review because I am shocked at the service I received at this McDonald's tonight.

I made an order for 2 sandwiches and 2 ice creams .... the person at the window told me to pull into the reserved parking .... then when an older woman came out to give me my food ... she completely forgot the 2 creams and the sauces I ordered..... I proceeded to tell her that she was forgetting items and she walked away and didn't even acknowledge me and I know I said it loud enough for her to hear . Another employee ended up coming out to bring my order , a younger man who was delightful...... then half way home I looked over and realized my drink was ALSO not there , so I drove back through the drive thru and a wonderful woman with a really nice accent was a sweet heart and gave me my drink

I'm so upset that this older woman was INCREDIBLY rude! And I had to wait 3x for my food and even drive all the way back. As well as giving a very blunt tone at the window when she told me to drive ahead.
