Horrible experience today, felt being blamed for a crying cashier. My wife and I always come to this Glastonbury store and most of our reward points always come from this store. We ordered breakfast today at around 9:30 am feb 12/23 after waiting in line for so long. A young lady took our order, we initially have over 20,000 points on the app and we wanted 2 meals as the app says we can have a free extra value meal for 10,000 points. So we gave the code and the cashier said it doesnât work so she told us to refresh the app. When we refreshed the app 10,000 points were taken off without even placing an order yet but she said to place an order anyway. So we placed the first order as sausage and egg mcmuffin meal and wanted the second meal the same. The cashier said each reward claim must only be one transaction so the second meal has to be paid separately. So we paid for the first meal and just added an extra mcmuffin on the side and change the drink to OJ. After we paid the app took another 10,000 points and only about 207 pts remain on the app. We asked the cashier where the other 10k pts went as we only ordered 1 meal. The cashier kept explaining we cannot claim 10k twice so my wife explained that we are willing to do 2 transactions but we want to know what happened to the other 10k pts. The cashier did not seem to understand our concern so my wife asked the cashier to get the manager. A woman manager (with pink ponytail and eyeglasses) came and asked us the concern and we explained again that 20k pts was used instead of 10k for 1 extra value meal meaning we lost 10k for nothing. The manager took out her phone which I thought she was going to call customer service or try to return the points but then she asked us what the second meal is supposed to be and we ordered the same sausage and egg meal then she gave us a receipt and told us âhere I used my own pointsâ then walked away. I found it rude instead of helpful because to begin with NO APOLOGY. In addition they made it seem like we wanted free food. We just wanna know what happened to the 10k pts and just want it back, we are willing to pay. To make matters worse, when we finally got our order and sat down to eat the general manager (we just assume as he had no name tag and did not introduce himself properly) came to our table and immediately asked us what happenedd as their cashier is upset and crying. We explained again what happened to our points and the GM said it must be a glitch in the system and even himself loses points when using the app. However the GM said the extra sandwich and OJ must have affected the points on the app. My wife showed the GM the receipt where it shows we paid for the OJ upsize and the extra sandwich on full price only the sausage egg meal was free. My wife explained that it seemed like we were on the wrong because the cashier started crying. The GM said thats why he approached us just to know what happened. In the first place if they just explain properly there wouldnât be an issue, of course we sounded upset as it didnât seem like the staff understand our concerns or know what to do, they should be the expert of their own craft. But anyway made us feel horrible and lost our appetite, definitely did not enjoy our sunday breakfast! Our receipt # 137...

The manager by the name Marlette or Marilette, I couldnât exactly hear what she said over the phone when I called to find her name out so apologies for any mistake with the name but she was the âacting managerâ of the morning around 12:15 am. She was the one with the headset taking orders. I ordered 1 junior chicken with extra chicken sauce ... after about 6 months of not eating here at all. Was super excited for it. Noticed it was taking an extremely long time for people to be served in front of me. About a 4 car line up .... no big deal. Even saw her go to the back to pull out more bags of fries probably cuz they were busy. After I ordered my junior chicken she told me to either go to the second window or pickup number 2... maybe verify it if the order was recorded ... I ended up going to pick up number 2 since I have been instructed to do that before .... assuming I was going to pay there. 3 people behind me were served and I had been waiting for 20 minutes for 1 junior chicken.... I thought maybe something was wrong and eventually when the 3rd person behind me was heIped before me I walked up to the window with my car parked at pickup 2 and asked what was going on and she replied âdid you pay for your order?â I said âno Iâve been waiting to payâ...... and she then went on being so rude saying she told me to come to the second window. The whole time I was at pickup 2 she looked at me and my vehicle multiple times and not once did she think of just telling me that I went to the wrong window she just let me sit there for 20 minutes. Mind you at this time I was starving had a long day of work and this just really ruined my night. It was for sure the cherry on top as they say. I am disgusted with her attitude and lack of kindness. She could have simply just come to the window and at least communicated something with me ... I was so polite when I ordered my food... but instead she just watched me sit there for 20 minutes ... itâs not the end of the world , letâs get real itâs over a junior chicken but it really bothered me and I just wish there was something I could do about it. It wasnât right at all. I really really hope you do something to rectify this problem and communicate with her that all she had to do was let me know it was the second window she said to come to not pickup number 2 .... not that big of a mistake and quite frankly I heard pickup 2 .... she denies she said that so a recording would be great if you had it. Anyways thanks you for reading this essay of a post but Iâm choked. Itâs the service industry so if your not prepared to provide good service then maybe reconsider your career choices but Iâll tell you almost anywhere you go youâll be serving others so learn some decency and respect....

I would like to make a formal complaint why is the Drive Thru is CLOSED AGAIN???
When it was stated/advertised 24hrs open. The worst part is that it has been happening multiple times. YES! You heard me rightâŚMULTIPLE TIMES!
Kindly please explain to me the reason this McDonalds location (Drive thru) is always closed in late evening. I was at this location at exactly 11:55pm dated June 16,2024. I even took photos of both Drive Thru are CLOSEâŚOrange Cone on both sides. I would totally understand if thereâs a power failure or whatever machine is not capable of doing a transaction thatâs why they have to close the store.
There was âNo Noteâ on the Drive thru or even on the main door. I literally got off my vehicle to check if the Entrance Door was open but CLOSED!!!!
Iâve seen two female staff inside the store but wasnât looking at all. It just came to a point that I am fed up and frustrated on how are things being operated at this McDonalds Location.
There should be an improvement since that store just had a renovation for almost a month but same oldâŚsame old!
Does the Head office or Franchise Owner are aware of this kind of operation this McDonalds Location are doing? I hope Iâm wrong but if not, guess whatâs gonna happen next. Is the store cutting hours for the payroll? Might as well, change the 24Hrs ads to a 20hrs open only.
Yes! Iâm very sarcastic while doing this complaint because you shouldnât be making Promises to people that McDonalds are OPEN 24hrs. everyday unless statuary holiday takes effect or the CEO of McDonalds is having a midnight snack with Officer BigMac, Hamburglar and Birdie! But still, would they closed the Drive Thru? Nooooo!
Even Ray Kroc is alive, he will be your cashier/food handler because of his dedication to his job! He would probable upsell you even if you donât want but heâd probably will!
