I find most of the reviews were from some time ago. They have changed the decorations slightly and the place was warm, cozy and welcoming around 4.00 pm on January 08 2020.Even the bathrooms were very clean. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We havent been here in about 6mos. This was one of our go to places before that. I think the management and Chefs have changed. We ordered the spring rolls, the Satay Chicken and curry chicken. The spring rolls were OK.Nothing like what it used to be.The chicken dishes -both had lots of meat, tasted like chicken that was cooked and left in the fridge or freezer, tons of very crispy vegetables, both dishes tasted exactly the same. The sauce was very sweet in both.We felt like we were having a desert. If it was not for the crispy veggies and the hot sauce at the table we would not have been able to eat anything. We were out in the cold all day and were famished. The bill came to around $56.00 with tip.We live in the area but do not think we will return for another meal. The most awful food experience in a long time.Vietnamese food is one of our...
Read moreI just wanted to say that I have ordered from several Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood, and never felt compelled to write a scathing review like this. To be clear I ordered from them twice before posting this review (I wanted to see if there was a trend). The first time ordering, they messed up the order. The second time ordering, the food was ice-cold at the quoted time of pickup,. They shorted me a dish, increased the total price by 25% more than was quoted over the phone, omitted the requested shrimp topping in the vermicelli bowl, charged extra for Tofu (which other Vietnamese restaurants will count as a substitution if you forgo the beef), and finally were quite rude and didn't seem to care that they messed up when I arrived to pick up my order. Needless to say I would never recommend them with so many other options available. Hope this review helps someone else from making the same...
Read moreUnfortunately this restaurant did not meet my expectations. Maybe it's because I'm Vietnamese and I know what to expect flavor/authenticity wise. Our first dish, the pho with beef balls was very bland. Very little, if any aromatics used in the broth - star anise, ginger, cinnamon. Super disappointing. Our next dish was the lemongrass chicken. Chicken was overdone and dry. The rice was dry, not moist and fluffy, likely undercooked. Our last dish was the shaken beef cubes with fried rice. It had some potential but unfortunately they cheaped out on the beef. It was definitely not top sirloin as indicated on the menu. The beef was VERY chewy. The beef for this dish should be tender and as such, most places use tenderloin or a better cut than what was served here. Extremely disappointing for $19.99 for this dish alone. Won't be returning. Will travel a little further for a better and more...
