Pizza Milano & More — Restaurant in Edmonton

I have been eating a LOT of butter chicken lately as many of the guys at my work can attest, and without question this is THE BEST I have ever had.

Most of the Butter chicken dishes I have found are far too sweet like Butter chicken hut in Stony Plain (where the Butter chicken and the Mango chicken were nearly indistinguishable. Some are very sweet with only a hint of savory notes like Punjab sweets and Meats on the west end of Edmonton.

The butter chicken here is amazing. It is savory with a hint of sweet and is one of the best I have had, (I have eaten about 20+ different recipes in the past 3 months) If you ask for extra spicy they will make it that way for you and it is AWESOME!. Not overwhelmingly hot, but hot enough to remind you that you are eating a spicy dish. I would say just a tad bit less spicy than a typical Vindaloo.

They have wings and pizza here too that are great, the basic wings are awesome. And the pizzas are soo good.

I love this place so much that I bought enough to share with the guys here and now they love them as well.

The first time we ordered pizza and a butter chicken poutine it was delicious. It came hot and fresh. We enjoyed the poutine so much we ordered again however this time it came with fries so over cooked they were rock hard. We couldn't eat the poutine because of this so that was a loss of $12. I reached out to Pizza Milano via their email however I never received a response. Due to this poor customer service and not knowing if I'm going to receive food we can eat, we have written off this restaurant. Unfortunate because I would have liked to support these guys as they are close!

Update 06/08/23 - I phoned the restaurant a day after this review was posted and left my contact info with a staff member on the phone. I was advised the owner would be in touch. It's been 4 days and I haven't received a call back. What more...

The taste is authentic and delicious. Presentation and cleanliness is close to none like it. Very refreshing to see a vibrant little place like this.

I tried the chicken korma and it had the right amount of herbs in it. The heat level I requested. And the chicken was tender and flavourful as well.

I was debating between chicken curry, butter chicken or korma. I finally chose korma as if I like the korma I most likely will like the rest of the menu. I certainly do. I would recommend this place for a spicy bite to eat.

Even though this place deserves a 4 star but I believe it can still be improved. Paying ~16$ for a meal should get you a better plate like the other fancy restaurants. This meal is worth 13-14$ in my...
