Quiznos — Restaurant in Edmonton

Haven’t been to a Quiznos in a while primarily because they charge more than a legitimate deli does for a quality sandwich. The staff at this location is polite but in this day and age they really have no choice if they want to stay employed. My main issue is this, the debit machine has a prompt for tip, and it is also setup in a way that makes it inconvenient to not tip. This is a fast food “restaurant” already charging $20 for a fast food sandwich with a small soda, an expectation for a tip is honestly insulting and disappointing. As I sit and eat my sandwich I watched two patrons leave angry and/or annoyed about the tip screen on the debit machine.

I won’t return to a Quiznos again after this experience, to the management of Quiznos, let this be a suggestion to make a policy of no tip option on your debit machine or consider paying your employees less than minimum wage at best.

The ladies that work there are amazing! Best service I have been here 3 times i go specifically here when I am on this side of the city. Every time I have been here it’s the same

Atmosphere: tables were clean & floors were free of debris minus water from snow which is normal as you can tell they still mop it because it not that bad.

Food: every thing seems hot & fresh and organized. Proper portions seem consistent everytime I have come in here.

Service: staff seem organized and stay in positions. They are always very polite & respectful. Always one of them say hi, how are you as you walk into the store and every employee when you reach them in line they have this smile and appear happy and sincere as they talk to you. Food was okay but bland, and some some of the ingredients seemed stale or dry (dry flavourless lettuce, bread tasted somewhat stale, and chicken was rather dry for example), and so many things jn the store have "out of order" signage on them.

Worst of all though is they don't use the till to ring you up, a calculator is instead used, and you aren't told your total - and the machine doesn't show your total either when you go to tap. If you need an actual receipt, you won't be provided with one, just the slip the debit machine prints out.
