I frequent this Second Cup location for my usual large caramel corretto 1/4 sweet with whip and it has always been fantastic! My last visit on April 7th was terribly disappointing. While the staff was lovely, the coffee was terrible. I have ordered the same coffee from many different locations over the years and it always tastes the same. I ordered one for myself and one for my husband. You could not taste either coffee or caramel corretto. It was the color of cream and tasteless. Unfortunately I didn't taste it before I left, so when I got home and tasted both of them, I called the store to let them know as I'm certain they would want to ensure that they are serving quality product. I got the voicemail which stated it was for that location. I left a detailed voicemail with my phone number and requested a call back. It has been 2 days and no call back. Again, I am terribly disappointed as I will now have to go to another location to get my second...
Read moreSecond cup coffee is far superior to Starbucks and is Canadian, which is a bonus. The coffee actually tastes like coffee and is organic fair trade. My only issue is they have barely any locations in Edmonton and the ones they do have close so early. Come on second cup!! You desperately need a revamp to get people back in your stores. Whoever does your advertising needs to be replaced with the right marketing firm. I remember back in the early 2000's you could barely find a chair to sit in when visiting and you were open until at least 10pm. The only thing starbucks has over you is their marketing, as their coffee tastes like burnt sludge. That's everyone's only option other than Tim's and fast food coffee... gross! Please open more locations on the Southside and North Edmonton and start back up on improving your marketing... Please give us back you as the first choice for coffee enthusiasts...
Read moreI used to love this place. The old baristas were friendly, clean, and made amazing drinks. Today, the drink I was handed and the service I received was embarrassingly bad. The “barista” buried the steam wand in the bottom of the milk jug and didn’t touch it to add any air or texture the milk. When the milk was poured there wasn’t a single bubble of foam. For $6.77, I received a lukewarm, bad tasting, miserable looking mocha. When I asked for a refund, I had to watch the girl try to count the change for more than a minute. I finally had to point to a quarter in the cash and tell her she needed to give me three of them along with the six dollars. Why bother buying a café when you can’t even make a basic drink. How could Second Cup allow an owner to ruin their brand with such bad quality...
