A&W Canada — Restaurant in Edmonton

Food is mostly average A&w A&w is my preferred fast food this location however has always had issues up and down in terms of service It's simply an add-on to a service station so there's not much in the way of atmosphere but consistently there are problems with staff employed there who do not seem to be able to do fast food orders There have been many instances as I live very nearby and it's fairly common and easy for me to grab breakfast on the way to work

A simple example is today I went through the drive-thru had a hard time with the staffer named Nimish I place my order in a straightforward manner when I went up and paid she charged incorrectly number two the food was not as ordered and I find it interesting that when we were communicating about the order she consistently seemed to lack understanding and definitely had difficulty with English

However when I complained she was able to make excuses very effectively as if she'd practiced them I've had issues in the past the front end staff do not care and in this particular instance I think this person just gets overwhelmed even when there's only one person ordering basically this young lady should be in the back staff she should not be part of the front staff but as I said the location doesn't really seem to care too much and with A&w there's really no other method of communicating corporate makes itself unavailable...

Lately this has been the best A&W I have got food from in awhile. Other A&W seem way to greasy compared to this one. Sure there is a bit of a wait in the drive through, but that tells me the food is cooked fresh vs sitting awhile. Great job.

Update

My family went through the drive through this afternoon at a little after 4pm. Not busy only one there. Once we paid for the standard teen meal and kids meals. We were told to pull around front and wait for the order. ?? Okay ?? Well after sitting for 10 mins. I thought I better go in and check to see what’s happening. They were helping people through the drive through. After waiting for me standing at the front counter for another couple minutes they acknowledge me. “Are you with the two kids meals at the drive though?” She asks. Yes I am, this seems to be pointless to have a drive through if I have to come in to get the food. Then she starts to make my meal ??? I watched her make four meals before she made mine and asked me that question. Wow and I gloated about this place to others. Very disappointing. Once I got my meals, no apologies no nothing. Wow. Tried again 3rd time a charm after the renovations and………………….. the same. Stood to order at counter for almost 10 mins before walking out. Didn’t even get a notice of being there with a family of five. Management should be given a head shake. Drove to another location to...

2024/12/22 Time 11 am , My experience at the A&W was worse , it’s the food , plus the environment and Specially the Supervisor currently working at the time , I came to order the food for a dine in , the female Supervisor working was so loud shouting at the other co- worker and not stop , I couldn’t even hear the female staff taking the order , I can understand her language what she was saying , it was full on verbal abuse that should be not tolerated in front of the customer, I got my food it was to stay but they made it to go , when I sat to ate the food it was not good I had to throw it in the garbage , I noticed the female supervisor was not wearing a uniform no head gear to cover her hair plus no gloves , it was uncomfortable sitting because the female supervisor staff was so loud and ranting and verbal abuse to the staff , I just got up and left , I am sending this review and the short video I made to corporate so the female supervisor should be disciplined or fired , I also noticed the staff at the cash counter was...
