I have been coming to this place for years now when the original Arab owner was there. Since the new owner/staff have come, this burger joint has gone down DRASTICALLY in quality and service. The place was already notorious for having zero people go in to dine but now they have changed their menu and doubled the prices. The reason why many people have chosen to come to this place before is because of the many options you can pick from for FREE to add on to your burger. Now, they have cut down the list and started charging for everything. This last time my husband and I went, we paid well over $52 for just 2 burger combos. RIDICULOUS! The burgers were terrible, they changed their buns and now use the cheap store bought bread and it melted into our burgers in a matter of minutes. The burger was tasteless. I would NOT come here to get a burger ever again. The price you pay for these are terrible, you may as well go to a restaurant and get a quality meal and actually enjoy it. I'm attaching both menus (old and new) for you to see the price differences and what was taken out. I will also add the burger picture so you can see what I'm talking about when I mentioned the terrible bun. If they are deciding to jack up prices like they have, you may as well update the whole place. The bathroom is ridiculous, the tap barely has any water flowing to properly wash your hands and the light is so dim in there you can't see shit.

NOT TO MENTION, their old menu remains on Skip and other apps to attract you as a customer but in store its only the new menu. Shady business as a whole. Save your money and...

UPDATE 2025: The below was my review after several loyal years. However, I can no longer recommend this joint due to change in ownership. I went to my beloved burger place today to find out that the previous owner moved and sold the business. Which is fine (all the best!), but the prices seemed to take a suspicious increase to $15 per burger or $25 for a meal. I get that there is an inflation crisis, but it seems a bit extreme to the point in comparison to even other local burger places to take advantage of the current climate. But “hey” I thought “it is my favourite burger so I am more than willing to pay for a treat.” Then I got my burger to find that the bacon and overall quality fell apart and it was noticeably different than my many years of previous, consistent burger joy. The curly fries also had minimum curl action. It was at this point I had to ask if there was an ownership change out of just a pure hunch, which was confirmed. For these reasons I have unfortunately had my last BJ. —————————————————————————— I have been eating at this “joint” for over ten years. It is time I paid it forward with a positive, raving review. This is my go-to burger place anywhere in the City (and I actually miss it when I try burger places around the world). I get the Spicy Crunch but with no jalapeños and add honey mustard every time for over ten years. Last bite of my burgs I dip in the fry sauce. The curly fries are legendary and the burger bun is what people say they are surprised with most when I take them here. It is my favorite treat on any...

I used to love this place and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Unfortunately unless the burgers are made by one of the staff the rest just seem to mess up the orders constantly. I've never had so many wrong orders from one restaurant so often. When I went back to tell them about it, the customer service was sub-par like they didn't even care.

Once the burgers we ordered were super salty and when I went back to tell them they just shrugged. Another time the TOP BUNS of all the burgers were missing???? I also can't eat spicy foods as I get really sick and asked that they didn't include the jalapenos and they still put them in. When the burger was sent back and asked to be re-made as I literally can not have them at all, I think they just removed the peppers and just gave it back as I was in extreme pain and very sick and throwing up afterwards.

As much as I loved these burgers the risk of having them made wrong is too high and after the last time I just don't want to risk my health over bad food. It's not like it was a small harmless mistake either. If you're brave enough to order from here make sure your order is correct before you walk out and make sure you see them remake it if you have dietary restrictions, as they clearly don't...

The most photogenic burger you'll ever eat. And probably the best one you can find in Edmonton. I can never say enough good things about The Burger Joint anytime the topic of good burger places comes up. I've been here somewhere between 5 - 10 times, and each time has been a blessing for both my taste buds and camera roll. The customizable burger format is great and offers you plenty of options to style your creation exactly to your taste. The burgers are made fresh to order, so they're hot, juicy, and tasty every time. I believe that they flame grill the burgers as well, which gives it that smoky BBQ taste we all know and love. It's also worth mentioning that the curly fries and mayo-style dip it comes with is my absolute favourite. You just simply cannot enter the restaurant and leave without having both the burger and the fries. For the $10 - 15 range, which puts it in the same territory as bigger restaurants like Fatburger and Five Guys, The Burger Joint is far more worth your money. Not only do you get more food for your buck, it quite simply tastes better. Do yourself a favour and check this place out; your Instagram and Snapchat followers will thank you.
