Was craving a sandwich and we love Earl of Sandwich. However, the experience on this particular day was ridiculous! We walked in with another 2 people having ordered ahead of us and waiting at a table. An employee was in the process of making thier order, she did greet us as we walked in. And proceeded to make the order. We already knew what we wanted so we waited for her to finish. She didn't say "just a minute" or anything which is fine. After she popped the sandwich onto the conveyer (to toast), we thought, okay she'll come get our order now. Nope, she went onto clean the sandwich making area instead, including wiping the container lids. Then she moved to pour some soup that the previous customers clearly had also ordered. Okay, this is all fine, she cuts the sandwich and calls thier number (they were the only ones in there). One comes to grab the order. Okay, it's now been 7ish minutes, she will come ask us our order. Nope...she starts to clear the cutting station, wiping crumbs onto the floor etc. Then wipes the soup station down (including the sides of the warmer). At this time we are wondering if this is cooperate protocol, that everything has to be cleaned prior to a 2nd order being made (if so, very inefficient). We did notice a pair of legs under the swinging door in the back. So there was another employee, maybe on a break? Nothing wrong, it clearly was not busy! Okay, the cleaning seems to be done, the employee starts walking towards the order area and us. Good, 10 min waiting and we will get to order. Nope, she picks up the broom and begins to sweep! We left...
Read moreGreat experience, needs improvement on customer service. My recent visit to Earl of Sandwich has been like every other time: the food is always tasty but the service has been slightly disappointing. Without a doubt, their artisan sandwiches have always great to try, some more than others. It's the quality of these ingredients that drive up the price but it does so for a better experience. What doesn't add to the experience is the employees at the front counter. Now some mistakes I cannot blame on them, such as the tap feature of the debit machine not working, but the way that they deliver this message has not been handled the best. Furthermore is that they will not have an option or alternative to passing out cups of water for customers who do not wish to purchase a bottle which forces them to buy a cup. There is no small cup that they can pass the customer for free like other establishments do. How they handle this issue at the front is not done well and could be improved on better or even brought up to management for...
Read moreI wanted to try a new sandwich place to eat, so i found this place, and the reviews all seemed to be really good, so obviously, i had to check it out!
I had the Earl's Club, and my husband tried their new spicy sandwich. We got combos, but honestly, their sides aren't that great. I got "mexicali soup" but it just tasted like chicken tortilla, without the chicken... or the tortilla... lol. The sandwiches were awesome, though. Comparable to another place that I love in terwillegar. We spent under $35 for 2 combos. If I go again, I'd just get the sandwich. It's close to the same price, but the sides are definitely mediocre to the sandwiches.
The road system in south common is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER!!!! It was near impossible to get into their parking lot shared with Bulk Barn. We almost skipped going to the place completely because it was so messed up. Surprisingly, it was still...
