What was once an awesome restaurant, is now a dirty, oily, musty, run down excuse of a food establishment They should be embarrassed to be operating and perhaps take themselves out of business Our visit on September 2 '25 at 6:05pm started off with walking into a vacant lobby No one to greet or seat us Restaurant side had 2 tables with people at them but no servers or hostess anywhere to be seen After waiting 5mins we decided to seat ourselves in the lounge It was us and one other couple.... with a complete desert feeling Half drank glasses of beer and pop on the bar, and no bartender or server We picked a table and sat down. I knocked over the ketchup bottle while getting into the booth and picked it up to put back, and it slid out of my hands. It was doused in oil and grease...my hand was dripping from the sliminess of it.... just fricken gross! I went to wash my hand off and told my husband to find us a different table Once at the new table and at 6:25pm...a server came into the lounge and went to the other couple to help them, once done he attempted to leave the lounge area... I had to holler at him to come to our table just to get our drinks orderd My husband ordered a Hop Valley beer, the server made a strange face, hesitated, and then said " ok you can have " Left and brought us our drinks by 6:30pm My Husband took one sip of the beer and immediately said " this is bad beer, it's not supposed to be sour " And for some reason the server stuck his head out from around a corner he was hiding around, as if he was waiting there for a reaction...strange, almost as if he knew the beer my Husband ordered was bad ( hence the weird face and hesitation minutes earlier maybe? ) Server asked if he wanted another one in which my husband said no, and to switch it to a Canadian instead Once the server brought over the Canadian, he took our order, time was now 6:40pm We ordered a Gyoza appetizer, and our 2 meals I orderd the Spinach Stacked Chicken with Mashed Potatoes subbed for the Fries, and kept the Coleslaw My Husband orderd the Half Ribs with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes We waited until 7:15pm and questioned why our appetizer hasn't even come out Hollared over the server again who was only interested in serving the other couple in the lounge, and told him to get us an idea of when we will get our appetizer... he said " oh yeah, the Spinach Stacked Chicken right? " I replied with " no...the Gyozas " he then ran off...and brought us the Gyozas immediately, as though they had been ready and waiting to be brought out to us long ago Gyozas were dry and cold Then 5mins later, our main meals came out So appetizer was part of main meals The Girl bringing our food had to put them down on multiple tables as she worked her way to us Once she got to us, she asked who had the Spinach Stacked Chicken I put my finger up. I immediately noticed they gave me Fries and Mashed Potatoes, and told her I requested to sub the Fries for Mashed Potatoes and keep the Coleslaw Like who wants 2 Potatoes for a side? She said she'd go get the Coleslaw Then.... she looked at my Husband while holding his plate of food, and asked him " Is this your food? " There were only 2 of us there.... who's else would it be? Main meals were ok at best My Chicken was dry and rubbery if that makes sense. The Spinach was weird, and had an old rotten Spinach taste every 2nd bite. I couldn't finish it My Husband said his Ribs were good, but Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans were flavorless Server never came to ask how everything was... but tended only to the other couple the entire time To sum up this review... Arrived at 6:05pm Had to seat ourselves Orderd drinks at 6:25pm Beer was bad 6:40pm ordered appetizer and meals 7:15pm appetizer was brought out, 5mins later main meals arrive We were out of there by 7:40pm Restaurant was not at all busy to justify this Received poor service Served bad beer Food was meh Won't be setting foot here again Don't be fooled by the name, give your hard earned money to another restaurant that values and upholds...

Before the hostess comes to speak to you (you have 2-5 min) make sure you load up on mints. You may be confused when they ask how many people are in your party. For us we had five family members present and we’re waiting for three other guests. The hostess asked us if we wanted a table for four. Immediately this concerned me with her inability to count how many people were in front of her. She immediately grabbed menus and gave us no further instruction as she disappeared into the restaurant. After a few minutes she came back and told us we can come in and sit. No direction to follow her just enter the restaurant and look for the table with menus. This sparked my curiosity… Maybe she was under trained or maybe this was a new way of seating that no one had ever thought of before. Find your own table somewhere in the restaurant and the only clue is menus on the table. Sounds like a fun game. The restaurant was half full but it was evident that something was off.
Once seated the server took our drink order. Then returned with 3 out 5 drinks. Once our other guests arrived our server took their drink order. About five minutes later our server returned… With the two missing drinks from the first request. We kindly ask for straws ( because the nearest turtle was 1400 km away) The server return with the drink and finally took out order.
Now comes the important part and the reason why you grab that handful of mints… It’s because of the hour wait for food. 30 minutes into the wait for food and 3 requests later we finally got our straws. The restaurant didn’t seem to be understaffed but they did seem disorganized. I understand we had a table of eight but the server didn’t seem overwhelmed. In fact didn’t look like the server was in a rush at all..... for anything.
Once the food did come the pasta was warm at best. The bun was over toasted so it was as dark as the over cooked burger. The food was carelessly placed on the plate. Then I looked around and the Food was a perfect representation of the restaurant as a whole. Sloppy, careless and less than desirable. It’s impossible to give a -2 star rating so I’ll just give you this… Next time you think about going to this location… Don’t.

Read moreWent to have dinner with my family of 7. Made reservations for 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:20 pm. My name was on the reservation list, but I was told that they didn’t have a table for me. I was then asked if I wanted to sit in the bar area, I told them I had two two year olds with me, and then the two staff at the front desk started fighting over whether or not my grandkids could go into the bar. They finally decided to set up a table for us in the bar area. When we sat down it was so crowded. I was squished up against the table because there was no room for a table that size in the bar area. They set the table for 7 but only gave us 5 set of utensils. I had ask more than once for more, some of my family was already eating as we waited for more utensils. We had to get up and get our own condiments. My husband did not like his meal so I asked for it to be taken off the bill and it was not. I called the next day to speak to the manager and the manager told me there’s nothing he could do, he had to talk to the owner the next day . I waited for about a week waiting for a call back. The call never came. I called back and I was told the manager will call me at the end of that day. That did not happen. I called back a few more times. The owner was never in. I finally went to the restaurant to spoke to the manager or owner. He said the owner was not there. Not asking for my money back just asking for $25 credit, my bill was almost $300 and it was so uncomfortable being wedged in the middle of the bar area.He went to the back to call the owner and came back and said there’s nothing he could do because the complaint was not made before I left. I told him I did tell the server how I felt. Also, I told him it is not my fault that I have called numerous times and no owner never called me back. So, the manager offered me a $10 gift card today. When I wouldn’t except the $10 he told me there was nothing he could do and to get out of the restaurant. Not good customer service and they should not lie to people about having the owner call them back. Before I left I asked him what sense is it making a reservation if it’s not being honored. He had no answer, he just wanted me to leave. Never had a problem with this location before. Been eating there for yea don’t plan on going back. I am so disappointed with how I was...
