Tutti Frutti breakfast & lunch — Restaurant in Edmonton

We were treated by tutti fruiti head office to enjoy a meal on them, and we chose this location because they were nearby us.

The server took our order and made sure she got the order correct in front of us. A couple minutes later she came back out again and asked if we could pay first because she was leaving (?!) and we found that unprofessional as we have yet to receive our food or got any services from the restaurant (minus getting us water).

The food took over 30 mins to come to us despite their restaurant being less than half full. They explained that it’s because of their “dinner rush”. When the food came out, we noticed our order was also wrong, another server came out and explained it’s because the previous server left and didn’t notify them (lol). The restaurant however did resolve this by getting us our missing item, it did take them another 20 minutes.

At this point, we were frustrated by the lack of service and professionalism displayed by the staff and wanted to go. After clearing our bill, we asked for a couple go-to boxes and a milkshake to go, we waited for 15 minutes (go-to boxes never came) and can hear the server asking the kitchen to make the milkshake, indicating that our drink still hasn’t been made after 15 mins. We were so disappointed with the experience we left right away.

My wife & I ate here over the weekend and were blown away! You would not even know that this location exists because it’s in a high end, neighborhood seniors condo building. Right off the beaten path. Literally! A real friendly neighborhood appeal. It’s not only open to the residents of this building. The public are welcome as well. Lots of families. The food was incredible and well priced. I had the crispy combo with blueberries. (Combos are for big appetites or good to share.) the crispy stuffed French toast was like nothing I’ve had before. A must have, with plenty of crispy potatoes. Eggs. Bacon & breakfast sausage. Bring your appetite. She had the waffle combo which was the same as mine except with fruit garnish and of course waffles. Very tasty and crispy waffles with a hint of vanilla. Yum 😋 The restaurant was clean & wide open. Lots of space to breath. There’s also a section with couches and chairs to enjoy a nice latte with friends. Only one thing we did not like. We ordered a couple lattes afterwards and they came in these tiny espresso cups you see in Europe. I was done in a few sips. Not worth 5 bucks. Other then that. Everything exceeded our expectations. I never experienced bare faced rascism until I walked into Tutti Frutti restaurant around James Mowat. To make it all worse, this horrible treatment was metted on me and my family, in the presence of my kids. Kids that we have tried to bring up in a non racial biased way. This morning everything we have ever thought them about humanity was questioned as we drove away from this location unattended.

We were made to seat and watch for grueling 1 hour as they attended to every single persons that came in after us, while the kids watch helplessly and hungry..

I will never wish this treatment on anyone. The name of the lady that attended us reluctantly is Sandeep, and there was no time she apologized even after we had made our grievance known.

The world need more love at this time of our human existence and not hate and resentment targeted towards any group or race...

To this end, I will spend the rest of my days ensuring none of my loved ones ever have to spend their hard earned money at any Tutti Frutti location. That is the most I can do to shield my loved ones from ever experiencing what I and my family...
