Good tasting food, generous portions and friendly staff. I'm glad that a Pho place opened up in the Heritage Valley/Allard area that also serves good food.
I've ordered the House Special Pho three times now and all three times, the toppings in the dish have been the same generous portions. I especially like tendon in my Pho and restaurant serves by far the most generous portions and I love it.
Other new Pho places I've been to will have an ok amount of toppings, but will always end up putting in way less after a couple of months or so and I end up never going back. I hate feeling being ripped off with any establishment.
And all the other Pho places I've been to will show Tendon on their menu, but when you get it, there are only bits and pieces of it and I never go back. You feel ripped off.
When I order extra meat with my Pho at Pho Hoan Palace, they make sure to bring it in a separate bowl and it shows how generous they are with their offering.
Other places won't bring an extra meat order separately like that and when you receive the order and you just can't tell whether there is extra meat or not. You just don't notice the difference.
Feels good knowing a dependable and good tasting Pho place is nearby now. I didn't like having to travel to downtown just for a good bowl of Pho.

Read moreI went to this restaurant almost right after they opened and they were BUSY (as they should be their food is delicious). We were sat immediately upon stepping in and they took our order and we waited about 15-20 minutes for the food. I ordered the kids Pho with brisket and meatballs and my friend ordered large pho with raw steak, brisket, and meatballs. The food was delicious however before eating we picked up the chopsticks and spoons and they were dirty so we grabbed another set and that set was ALSO dirty and after the third set being dirty we gave up and asked the server to take back our cutlery and clean them before we started eating which was very off putting but the server was nice and understanding. The atmosphere was pretty much nonexistent, the restaurant is very small and it was very crowded with the tables so close to one another so it was hard to have a private conversation while the people at the table next to us kept looking at us (not the restaurants fault). When we finished eating I asked for a takeout box to put my leftovers in and I was given the container and no further comments were made. It took me 5 minutes of waiting to realize we had to pay at the front (server could’ve said that)

Read moreWe ordered the Salad Rolls with Shrimp and Pork Ham, which are Vietnamese rice paper rolls filled with shrimp, Vietnamese sausage, lettuce, bean sprouts and vermicelli. The rolls were light and mild. They were served with a dipping sauce that seemed to be a mix of hoisin sauce, topped with crushed peanuts.
The Grilled Chicken & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli was served with shredded lettuce, cucumber and carrot, topped with green onions and crushed peanuts. The portion of grilled chicken was generous and well-seasoned, and the crispy spring rolls added a nice texture. The dish also came with a sweet fish sauce to mix with the vermicelli.
The House Special Beef Noodle Soup (Pho) had a clear and flavorful beef broth. It was topped with onions and spring onions, and included steak, beef flank, tendon and tripe, along with plenty of vermicelli. The pho was served with a side of Thai basil, bean sprouts and lime, on a plate with a Traditional Chinese pattern that means "wish to live a long life".
Although the restaurant was busy, the staff were very friendly. The prices were similar to those at other Vietnamese restaurants, but the portions of meat were more generous. The flavors here were quite strong for me, but overall,...
