First time ordering from here.
Verdict: Sub-par Chinese take out. Order from Wok N' Go if you don't love yourself!
The cashier was outgoing and friendly. She assured me that they cook everything from scratch and was made fresh to order - including my hot & sour soup. I wish the "specialty" items weren't so scattered throughout the restaurant because I was interested in ordering something less generic - much regret after discovering their off-menu selection.
Here's what I ordered:
Hot & Sour Soup Score: 1/5 The soup was difficult to stomach. It was very acidic (most likely from the vinegar) and there were weird pieces of Salmon(?) in it. The hot sauce paste that they used, which I think was Sriracha-style chili sauce, added an unreasonable depth of sourness that overpowered the "hot" aspect to the soup. Probably the worse hot & sour soup I've ever had. The Hot & Sour soup from Hell - only at Wok N' Go.
House Special Fried Noodles Score: 4/5 Okay, this was probably the only item I had no problem with. It was actually reminiscent of a house-style fried noodle - with different proteins such as baby shrimp and bbq pork in it alongside onion, carrot, beansprout and egg. The flavours were balanced, despite the dish being slightly on the greasy side. But what can you expect, after all, it is Chinese take out.
Ginger Beef Score: 2/5 I really wanted to like this. As soon as I popped these bad boys into my mouth, it was like eating 2-day old ginger beef. It had lost its crunchy, battered texture within a span of 15 mins getting home. I'm also going to question the freshness of the beef. The sauce gave me "sweet and sour" vibes - it was red, sweet and not really on the ginger side. Very, very meh.
I came here on a whim and overall was not...

We usually goto the wok n go on Victoria trail but i was in the area so went to pick up hot and sour soup for my wife since she likes it when she is sick.
Got to the location early since they don't open until 4pm, they opened 5 min early which was nice. The lady taking my order was nice and they got my order right. When she told me how much my brain clued in and i looked at the menu to make sure she was right in the cost as it seemed too high. When she told me worked out on their menu so I thought i must be wrong. Lucky I had a menu from out old location. Here are some examples of price differences with no additional food:
Green onion cake: Vic tr - 2.50 127th - 3.25
Hot and Sour Soup (L): Vic Tr - 8.75 127th - 10.95
Dinner for 2: Vic Tr - 20.95 127th - 23.95
Party Value Meal: Vic Tr - 58.95 127th - 69.95
Save yourself a bunch of monies and goto Vic tr location.
My wife liked this soup more than or normal location, that's a plus. The green onion cake was crispier but...
Read moreThe food is ok... not the best not the worst! The service is really not great at all! We ordered a the family meal which we included lemon chicken... (we live 20 min away) and we got home and had no sauce for the lemon chicken, and let me tell you just the chicken without the sauce... not very good! So we called back, and they said our choices were we could come back and get the sauce, or next time we come they will give us the sauce (so either eat our food cold or next time get lemon sauce with no chicken?! ... yes!) we asked them to please make us a new chicken to go with our sauce this time or next ... they said that’s not possible! Both choices were yucky choices... and we won’t be returning! It’s very pricy here... you’d expect better food and...
