Original Joe's — Restaurant in Edson

If I could give no stars I would. The service is terrible and food is worse. I understand this is an Oil Field town and this is not a high end restaurant but at least take a little pride in the food you are serving. I have been here 3-4 times as I'm holding out hope it will get better but you are better off going to MacDonald's. I went in tonight and got the tomato soup, it came fine but was so friggin hot it burnt my mouth, by the time I waited for it to cool down my beef dip had arrived. The girl took the soup back and asked if I wanted it, I said not now that my meal was here. Next, I got a beef dip and asked for no horse radish mayo, as expected it came dripping in horseradish Mayo. Girl came back I told her the problem and she said she would get me another one. By this time I have had it. I said forget it and give me my bill. Expecting to only get charged for the beer I had, my bill shows up with the soup still on it, She said she could not take it off as she offered for me to take it home. Now Im pissed off, forget it I said, paid my bill and started to leave, then I thought hey I paid for the soup I might as well take it home. I asked for the soup and she said it would take 15 minutes to make a fresh one. A fresh one, give me a friggin break, the only thing fresh in that store is the ice cubes. Amazing servers an such an amazing GM manager came right over an said hello an asked how our service was. The service staff outstanding ...Always makes every one of there customers feel welcomed an that they made a great choice in stopping in. If you weren't satisfied they made sure you were. The food is superb at this location an I give a huge thumbs up the GM himself great job of the work you are doing ..nice to see a business thriving an always an awesome experience with every customer. 😀 such great drink specials especially The bighorn vodka coolers an the Whiskey sours great scotch whiskey selection.. wish they had Deanston scotch but still what a selection they have .. The food wasn't fantastic, and my sauteed onions were forgotten on my burger. It's great that there are no minors allowed, and the waitress did very well; her memory for orders onions aside, was impeccable especially for our diet restrictive meals. The only problem with the waitstaff was that there really wasn't enough of them to cover the floor as it got quite busy. The waitresses were overrun, doing a hundred things at a time and that made wait times for some things longer. The food was lacking, the mashed potatoes had a thick outer layer as though they'd been sitting out for a while essentially flavourless, the crispy onions that topped the mashed potatoes were soggy, the fries were just okay and the dill sauce was nice but all in all it wasn't an experience I was left...
