I only gave 5 stars.......... Because they won't let you post 10.... My wife and I have been to this Cortina about 5 times since the new ownership... We live about half way between Espanola and Sudbury. ... As one would say..... It's worth the drive to Espanola just to go to Cortina's.... I've tried 5 different items on their menu each time..... And the chef has hit it out of the park each time... Tonight was fish and chips... The size of the fish was incredible. .. and the batter was perfect.... My goodness what is this chef doing in Espanola. ... So far no matter what I have chosen the chef has managed to take the cuisine of that item and taken it to places only the imagination and our taste buds dare dream... WELL DONE, WELL DONE... And the staff have to be aliens from a different planet because no human being can be that happy while working... All of them.... Smiling laughing all while almost running serving.... The owners should and must be very proud of what they and there staff have achieved.... Every restaurant owner should come and see for themselves what a heck of a difference this...

Welcoming team at the door. Didn't wait long for a table despite how busy it was.
We started off with some drinks. I had a delicious Sangria. Hubby had his usual of whiskey sour. He says this place knows how to make them.
Appetizers were the escargot and cheese cruds with house dip, hot house bread came with. They were very good. I probably could have a large bowl of the escargot to myself if possible!
I had the portobello fettuccine with Alfredo sauce, very good and filling. The fettuccine was cooked right!
Hubby had the cappelletti. He enjoyed it and said he ordered too much food (haha) .
Hubby tapped out on desert. But I had the NY style cheese cake with cherries and a nice cup of black coffee to end our evening.
Service was flawless. Music was not loud. Lighting was good too. Wasn't dark and wasn't too bright either. Timing of the food was good too, given time to enjoy each serving. Yes, there is option for bringing home the left overs.

Note to self - by pass Cortina and go to the restaurant across the road as fb friends highly recommend it. Rarely ever do we get upset at a restaurant - but tonight - definitely not a happy customer. Oh and the "guy" says "don't come back rather than the customer service greeting (have a good night)"😡😡. And of course I told him it was definitely...
