KFC — Restaurant in Espanola

This was the absolute worst chicken we have ever had. My finace decided to pick up KFC for dinner Thursday evening after working a later than normal day. First he said the employee's inside were extremely rude for starters. He placed his order and with-in 5 to7 minutes it was done. No other customers were in the restaurant.

He brought home fries, gravy, macaroni salad and 10 piece chicken. The chicken was dripping with grease, so bad you pick up a piece and the skin was just falling off and mush. The pieces that had skin on them had so much white fat under the very thin pieces of skin it was like eating lard. The last few times we have ordered the chicken has been very different. We keep saying this is the last time but him knowing how much I love KFC always tries again.

I had 1 piece of chicken and it was a leg cause it looked like the safest better cooked piece for me to eat.

I know we should of taken it back but it was already close to 8pm. The remainder of the pieces, I had to wrap in paper towel hoping to get some of the grease off them and cooling them to go into the fridge. The next day at lunchtime I went to have a piece and it was so tough and still very greasy, again the skin was just barely on the pieces of chicken, you weren't eating chicken again it was tasting like just a lump of fat. (Sorry trying to describe this in the best possible way). I had 1 small bite and threw the rest went in the garbage. If you zoom into the pictures you can actually see the white pieces of fat. Where is Chris and Lenore ???They are the best the one girl at cash today Aug 18 2025 was not a people person .I specifically asked for no legs in my meal I asked her to please put the note on my order.My son has medical issues and cannot eat dark meat .It was fairly busy my chicken gravy and salad were in the bag however did not get the fries but two other people received their 3 and 4 piece meals while I am still waiting for my fries.I asked the girl again there are no legs right and she said that's right It was busy or I would have asked her to open the 6 piece and check.I got home and there were 2 legs in my order not impressed and certainly not worth driving back as the rest of my dinner would be cold .I paid $35.00 and I have to throw 2 legs in the garbage. Unacceptable experience to the point I don't plan a return. I was understanding their computer wasn't functioning but the attitude the cook gave loudly complaining about each item in my order, scoffing " I don't understand what standard means" the standard chicken selection should be posted in the kitchen, regardless trying to single me out and embarrass me for using mobile ordering when the computer made a mistake is utterly unacceptable. I use mobile ordering and pick up on arrival because I have PTSD and some days it is the only way I can hope to be part of normal society.
