Visited Happy Yummy for lunch for the first time in a few years, as it's near a cottage I visited. They are focusing less on buffet (now offered on Friday nights only) and more on individual dishes, which I think is a positive change as catering to a hungry buffet crowd constantly is difficult and can reduce quality. Now this place can shine with some of their stand-out dishes. A paper menu, which I guarantee you will be sticky, will help you select your dishes, or combos if you are looking for more value. I ordered 7 different main dishes, plus rice and rolls. As I'm gluten sensitive, I focused my own meal on two of these: the beef in black pepper sauce, and the honey garlic spare ribs. And I'm here to tell you that these dishes are *divine*. Like impossibly good. I took photos after I had finished about half of these myself, which I've added here. My group seemed equally enamored with the sesame chicken, the sweet and sour chicken balls, the lo mein and more. Further, the speed at which the food was served was perfect. Dishes were brought to the table in order of readiness, along with a stack of plates for sharing. This allowed the food to start coming out almost immediately, with more dishes arriving in a nice pace as we ate, creating fun and variety. While this is less economical than ordering individual combo meals, it made for a fun experience and a greater variety of food. Note that Happy Yummy really puts the "family" in family restaurant. A young adult may take your order, and two young children may clear your plates. I say this so you aren't surprised when it happens! While perhaps a bit unusual, they are excellent at what they do and earned an easy 20% tip on a large order. Terrific spot for some delicious Chinese food. If you're in the Espanola area, definitely check this place out!

This place could be so much more than what it currently is with a few minor changes. The food selection was decent for the size of the restaurant. Quality was good too, some dishes could be improved. All this place needs is to clean up the current state of affairs, a lot of clutter could be removed and new signs over the buffet items would make a world of difference. The bathroom needs to be majorly cleaned or at the very least renovated entirely. However the staff was extremely friendly and courteous, and made a huge difference. With a few changes I think this restaurant could improve drastically! I hope to return sometime in the near future.

The food was good considering the location. As one who lives in Asia, I can tell how they try to keep it authentic. I just didn't like how the some of the sauces were in packets and not poured over the dish. It's value for money and always full. Be sure to make reservations for a group.

I have ordered from Happy Yummy a few times and it's been really good no issues. Last night I ordered dinner for 3, breaded shrimp, and beef Lo Mein. I got to the restaurant to pick my order up and the young man asked for my phone # I gave it to him. He rang in my order and I payed . I stood back as there where other ppl picking up. I stood there close to 10 min thinking my order wasn't ready. It was busy as it was Fri at dinner time and there was lots of orders ready sitting on the bar also a few orders on a table . Well turns out my order had been sitting there the whole time. It's -20 out so that means my dinner won't be hot when I get home. Nothing worse then microwave breaded food as it goes mushy . I get home and my wife opens the bag and 1/2 my order isn't there so I get dressed again head back to the restaurant with my partial order thinking it's someone else's. We'll it wasn't the young man just didn't give me the 2nd bag so I take it head back home . Yes everything was luke warm as all this took about 40 min when you add in my 10 min wait at the beginning. I wasn't going to bother doing a review as I figured it's just one bad experience. This morning I was having coffee and my bill was infront of me so I just added everything up . They also over charged me with a adding error it's not much a couple bucks but after all the running back and forth eating COLD Chinese food then being over charged . For $81.90 bill for 2 ppl I could have eaten Red Lobster. The quality of food isn't as good as the last few times but again the food was luke warm . I will eat here again as I'm hopeful this was a 1 time thing, but if it's the same next time I definitely...
