Roger Rabbit's Diner — Restaurant in Espanola

All the great reviews lead us to this establishment. What a huge mistake!! Let me start with I am a server I know the industry 2 young girls were working a brunette and a blond. My mother and I walked in and another couple behind us. There were 2 clean tables available and one dirty We stand there and wait to be seated. No one made any eye contact or said we will be right with you. I turned to the couple behind us and asked do we seat ourself? They had no idea. Finally the blond says we can sit at the table in the corner (beside the bathroom) we would rather the dirty one. It's dirty, you will have to wait so we sat and waited and waited and waited. Now a new group off ppl come in the blond immediately let's them know they can sit at the corner table and then on her way by gives them menus. I stood up and walked towards the dirty table to clear the dirty dishes put them on a side counter I looked at the blond "are you seriously giving them menus before you've even sat us? She yelled at me and said I'm not allowed to put dirty dishes there, and she proceeded to put the dirty dishes BACK ON THE DIRTY TABLE 😤 Needless to say we...

Very professional waitress, polite, respectful, ordered the Turkey bacon brie cranberry and unfortunately they didn’t have the cranberry bread which the waitress offered and suggested an alternative with cinnamon raisin bread which was extremely delicious, the turkey was not dry, I was amazed by the taste of it which I would surely take the recommendations of the waitress again she also allowed me to check the sides very patiently from the tablet which I chose the onion rings that weren’t too greasy and I very much enjoyed them majorly could clearly feel the cook has a passion & love for cooking and cares about the taste for customers, the service was over the top which was excellent for the waitress to check up on us 3 times in 1hr total which was perfect and not annoying and allowed us to enjoy our food without too much interruption and we were more than satisfied with our food would clearly go eat there again and the price was excellent for me and my girlfriend, I feel bad I couldn’t give the waitress a tip due to being short but will surely drop by again to give it to...

Had a French toast and coffee today, and wow, I couldn't wait to get to a Tim's for something to wash that down with.

Coffee was worse than a vending machine would produce, French toast was to say Just toasted, plain thick homemade bread the may go well on a sandwich not so great soaked in egg whites Not much different than cardboard with no cinnamon or flavor, poor quality unhealthy syrup of some sort with no option of real canadian Maple syrup.

Was offered a drink upon arrival, and that drink was never checked on or offered a top-up through the meal. No server made their way around to any table to ask how the meal was, except maybe to stop and gossip with their regular costumers.

10 of the tiniest booths I've ever seen, in a space no larger than grandams living room, dusty, dim lit, and cramped. not very inviting from the outside or welcome from the staff inside.

Guess maybe a local may say different, but as a traveler who enjoys food and my reviews, this is off of my radar and well below par.
