A&W Canada — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

I work nights and this place is open 24 hours for the drive-through and every time I go it’s absolute garbage.I got two buddy burgers and a poutine a few weeks ago and the buddy burgers were so greasy that the buns were completely soggy within the four minutes it takes me to get home, the poutine was made like they had little to no fries left and they put 2 or 3 portions of cheese and a whack ton of gravy to make up the difference. I figured it was a fluke but tonight I got two mozza burgers And the patties were actually cold, the mozza cheese was still cold like it was pulled out of the fridge. After working at A&W for five years previously, I’m well aware that the patties have to be heated up and the mozza cheese has to be melted before you are allowed to serve the burgers. Also, there’s timers for expired food, which I am sure every time I go there my food has exceeded. Very very disappointed. Don’t waste your time. Go to the one in Eagle Ridge. It’s way better. We ordered at drive thru around 11am. We wait for so long for our orders. We ordered 4 canadian breakfast,4 coffee,burger and yam fries. Sadly when they handout our food its already cold. The butter for the pancake they put on the top of the egg. And 2 coffee is missing. We are really disappointed. The guy who served the food is very polite and good attitude. But the staff who taking an order in the drive thru,she need to clear and repeat all the orders. Just make it sure everything is right and also the lady in the window we are taking with her but she not responding and keep ignoring us. All my concern here they should know how to handle customer service not being rude. They should enjoy the job that they have. Because a lot of people doesn't have job but for them they are lucky to have a job. Owner should keep on eyes...

So I'm just going to be gently honest about this location. Because of where it's situated it does gain open availability to many different types of people. Some under the influence, I'm an Outreach worker new to town and ran into a situation there that I was able to help with, so just an awareness that you might have more people contact there than you may expect. This is definitely not a problem but an encouragement. The only thing I found weird LOL was how the drive-thru window is 2 1/2 ft higher than where I'm sitting in my car, LOL so I had to get out and stand at the window to order and receive my food haha we had a good laugh about that with the server, who was an unbelievably good sport. All in all I will go back absolutely yes yes yes, check it out and maybe it'll bring a little spice...
