I recently visited Fatburger and came away genuinely impressed by the experience! I ordered a classic burger and a milkshake, and from the first bite to the last sip, it was everything I could hope for in a burger joint.
The Burger: Let’s start with the star of the show—the burger itself. Fatburger has an incredible way of making burgers feel homemade yet elevated. My burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and bursting with flavor, with a good char on the outside while staying tender and full of that smoky taste I crave. The toppings were super fresh, too—the lettuce was crisp, the tomatoes juicy, and the onions added just the right amount of bite. They really nailed the combination of quality ingredients, perfectly proportioned, and cooked with care.
The Milkshake: Oh, the milkshake! Fatburger’s shakes are the perfect blend of thick and creamy, served at just the right consistency to be satisfying without being too heavy. I had the classic vanilla shake, and it felt like a nostalgic treat done right. It wasn’t overly sweet, and I could tell they use high-quality ice cream to get that smooth, rich texture. The shake was the ideal cool and sweet complement to the burger and added a little something extra to my meal.
Service: Beyond the food, the service was excellent. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and the staff made me feel like a valued customer. They were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which is exactly what I appreciate in a casual dining setting. My food came out quickly, and everything was presented nicely, even for a fast-casual spot. It’s clear they take pride in what they do.
Ambiance: The restaurant itself had that classic Fatburger vibe with a clean, comfortable atmosphere. It’s a place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
Overall: My experience at Fatburger was fantastic! They know how to do burgers right, and the milkshake was a sweet, creamy treat I’ll be craving until my next visit. Between the delicious food, great service, and relaxed setting, Fatburger truly stands out as a must-visit for burger lovers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying,...
Read moreI've visited this location three times but have never posted a review so this will be a combination of all three visits.
The first two visits the food was decent, service was good quality but slower than your average fast food joint. More about the food in the first two visits, the food was fresh and full of flavour and the toppings were portioned perfectly. Food would get 4 stars for the first two visits.
Service has been about equal for all three visits at 4 stars. Staff are mostly friendly other than one older gentleman who always seems annoyed.
Atmosphere steady at 4 stars for all three visits.
Food for the third visit was at best a 2 star. I had nacho fries and there was probably 50 jalapeño slices mixed in the mess of toppings. I was unable to eat the whole thing it was such a mess. The Hotdog looked like it had been run over by a car the bun was smashed into a pile while being wrapped in the tinfoil.
This third visit was the reason the food rating is only 3 stars overall and not higher.
We all experience a bad visit now and again, it will be a while before I try my luck again but I likely will just to confirm to myself that it's not the new standard of quality.
Pictures are from third visit no pic...
Read moreThis is just my opinion. I can feel the weight of the food and I can taste the quality of the ingredients used. So I don't disagree with the price of the food. But the Buns were generic and lackluster when it comes to taste or uniqueness. They don't stand apart from other restaurants in any particular way.
The meat, condiments, produce and cheese are all great quality. But the burger taste collectively was not amazing.
The fries are what is killing the combos. Fat Burger's french fries are my least favorite of any restaurant I have ever eaten at in my entire life. And that includes small mom and pop shops where they serve you grocery store frozen fries that were heated up in a pizza oven like Burger Baron.
The cheese curds and gravy that were used on the poutine I ordered were amazing but the french fries destroyed it.
I will not say anything horrible about Fatburger because I believe in the quality, service, prices of their food. I just personally did not enjoy my meal as much as I expected to. But still, respectively, I give it three stars...
