Feedback on Our Dining Experience
First of all, I want to commend your team—the food was excellent.
However, I would like to share our experience during our recent visit. My friends and I decided to dine in using a gift card, but unfortunately, the service we received left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
From the beginning, our server did not greet us warmly—there was no smile or hello. As we ordered additional items during the meal, it seemed as though she became annoyed with us. When it came time to pay, we asked for three separate bills. At that point, her demeanor felt even less professional. When I mentioned that I would be using a gift card, she responded with “I know,” in an unfriendly tone, and after swiping the card, she dropped it on the table without courtesy.
We were quite surprised by this behavior. We understand that serving can be a demanding job, but part of the role is providing guests with a welcoming experience. After paying, I approached another server and asked to speak with the manager. While I was explaining the situation, our server came up behind me and asked, “Is there a problem?”—which, in my opinion, only reflected her awareness of how she had treated us.
I am sharing this feedback in hopes that some additional customer service training can be provided, so other guests do not experience the same. Unfortunately, based on this visit, we do not plan to return to this location.
P.S. I didn’t mention her name, even though I wanted to, as the manager already knows who she is. Out of courtesy to her, I will just say this: she would greatly benefit from going back to Customer Service 101. And don’t...
Read moreI went there tonight with my girf friend for a dinner date. No one sat us or talked to us so we sat our selves. A man came around dropped off to menu's before we could say anything he said can i see some id to which we laughed and said sure. I showed him mine i am 28 yrs hence why we thought it was funny. My girl friend showed him her government issued paper id showing that her licence was being renewed so she didn't have the plastic copy on her, but had all her info on her self in her wallet. All she had for a photo id was costco card. I said do we really need it she has a wallet full of other information showing she is who she is and we are clearly of age. He rudely barked at us saying no you need military id, or fire arm licence id at least ! really really fire arm ?? haha We tried to simply ask if it mattered again clearly he knows we are of age. He rudely told us to leave if we didnt have ids! I go to ojs all the time in the city and i will never return to this one and will tell all our other family and friends not to go to this location as well. We get rules are rules but you can treat other people with respect ! Costumer service is how your business...
Read moreWe went on Canada Day and I was very hesitant because of covid and had not been at a restaurant since we've been isolated. We decided to go there as its smaller than the brew house so we felt safer. My girlfriend got there first and had to wipe down the table with a hand wipe as it wasn't clean. The waitresses did have masks. We went to the washroom and the floor by our table was very sticky.
When I went to the bathroom it was not clean at all and the only stall available was the handicap one. It smelled so bad I had to put my shirt over my nose. The sinks were wet and looked like the bathroom had not been cleaned in awhile. No paper towel just the air which sprays water everywhere. I got out of the bathroom pronto. Used the hand sanitizer by the washroom. With covid I would think there needs to be more diligence in cleaning. I think I will stay away from restaurants as after my first experience with going out was not good for the cleanliness... and some restaurants closed after opening because of the spreading of the virus .. I won't be taking my chances anymore. Please feel free to contact me for further...
