Theft. Been going to Pho Hoan Pasteur in Edmonton and the Fort for over a decade now. Looks like they deleted this review so I will find another way, because we are all tired of theft - to hold them accountable. I will keep ordering, and will take pictures to post. I will acquire a mass of evidence first and then make sure my post follows all of Googles criteria to ensure the post is NOT removed or hidden. Either they stop doing it, or there will be evidence posted.
Over the last year or so noticed the take away Large Beef pho would sometimes have very little beef, so I started to weigh it as it seemed inconsistent. Sometimes 125 grams and sometimes 85 to 90 grams. I could let that go once or twice, but it happens all the time now. The Edmonton locations are always, consistently, around 125 grams for a large beef pho. This week’s order was the final straw with 75 grams of beef and very little noodles (which have also been getting smaller and smaller). Sure feels like theft. I work hard for my money and this soup is by no means cheap. To have the meat reduced this much, and especially when compared to sister locations, amounts to theft. I am paying for a product, a Large beef pho, and I am not getting it. It is a slap in the face to hard working loyal customers. The half rotten basil they put in the take away bag, with half a normal serving of bean sprouts was just adding insult to injury. I did not pay for half rotten basil. I expected that I was paying for fresh basil, a large order of beef, noodles, and sprouts. This amounts to theft as there is an explicit expectation of what the product purchased should be and that is not being delivered. Once in a blue moon, fine. All the time - theft. If we pay for a large, then we should be getting a large, not a small or extra small. Recommend start asking them how much meat by gram comes with a large pho, hold them...
Read moreWhile I visit this restaurant chain often, the Fort Saskatchewan Pho Hoan Pasteur location is definitely my favorite. The place is always clean and inviting and the food is always consistently flavorful and well proportioned for the price. The staff there has always been pleasant even though some customers may not be at their best. I especially love the way they marinade their meats as your taste buds would have to be deceased if you feel the meats were bland, the vegetable spring rolls as I have found out,are made from scratch as well as their meat spring rolls which is not something you see often (try the home-made in-house peanut sauce with them YUM YUM). The soups, Pho bowls and vermicelli plates are to die for and the combination of different choices you can ask for to customise your meal is amazing. I have visited close to a thousand restaurants on multiple countries in my 30+ years in the food industry and it is hard to find one that is as consistent as this restaurant is for the price point of this location in Fort Saskatchewan. I see many others reviewed this same location with highly positive feedback like myself and there will always be those who you can never please no matter what you do, that is always the way. All I will say is to the staff is please know that most of us appreciate the quality of the food and service especially through this trying time and keep up the...
Read morePre covid this used to be a go to place for me. Pre covid i would rate 4/5. Since covid this place has gone significantly down hill. The food is terrible now practically inedible, the noodles aare stuck together and soggy with a strong floury taste which should not be the case in RICE NOODLES, made my stomach hurt. The meats overcooked and the broth is on the warm side. The vermicelli’s vegetable to noodle ratio is absolutely egregious, 25% noodles 75% bean sprouts, i order it without vegetables and i put some of the complimentary bean sprouts bc i like vegetables but dint want to sacrifice all my noodles for them lol, and the wait staff had the audacity to call me out on it how brazen can you be, im not trying to eat salad. Its like they throw everything in one pot for the whole day on med temp and “nuke” it when served. Place has lost my business until i hear better improvements have been made. Completely and utterly...
