I never thought one dropped call would change my destiny.
It started like any other Friday night. I was hungry—starving, actually. I picked up the phone to call Domino’s, my usual go-to. The phone rang... and rang... and then they hung up on me. No explanation. Just cold, heartless dial tone. I was crushed. Abandoned. A pizza orphan in a cruel world.
But then—a light in the darkness—Papa John’s.
With trembling fingers, I placed an order. I didn’t know what to expect. I’d never betrayed Domino’s before. But from the moment the box hit my doorstep, piping hot and smelling like glory, I knew this wasn’t just pizza. This was a revolution in a cardboard box.
The crust? A buttery, golden halo. The sauce? Like the tomato gods themselves blessed each drop. The cheese? MELTED PERFECTION. And don’t even get me started on the pepperoni. Each slice was a crisp, savory poem.
One bite in and I was floored. I dropped to my knees and thanked the universe that Domino’s was too busy to answer. Papa John’s didn’t just feed me—they rescued me. They delivered more than food. They delivered hope.
Never again will I settle. Domino’s who?

Read morePapa John's is the one of the best pizza places in the city (save for our local options) and is usually my go-to. Although it's a little more pricey than some of the other options, its much more consistent in its quality (which ranges from average to very good; I've only had a few bad pizzas in almost two years of ordering).
The only reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars are: While it's amazingly tasty and filling, I keep getting sick from the food now. [Edited this in November 2018; assuming their cooks changed or something]. Sometimes they don't follow my delivery messages. According to some drivers, they don't display on the receipt - which is weird. My instructions are important, since I don't want my upstairs neighbours to be bothered (I like in a basement flat).
That said, the delivery drivers are almost always...
Read moreSuper unprofessional and rude staff. Been a papa johns loyal customer for many years, but today i called to add a brownie to my existing ($50+ order and they refused coz they were closing in 20 mins.?? Not to mention they were super rude on the phone. The brownie literally takes 5 mins to prepare, they just have to throw the frozen dough into the oven (know this for a fact as an ex employee has told me about it) while the rest of my order was being made.. really does say something about customer service - its not about the brownies but rather the professionalism, customer service and the principle of it. Will definitely be considering other options in the future.
[edit - went to collect my order after i got notified “YOUR ORDER IS READY” but made me wait there an additional 20 mins] Had a really...
