This review is based on one visit.
First impressions: I arrived at open, 11:30am, and was greeted by quite a few friendly faces. I was seated quickly and in a booth. The seats are extremely comfortable and there are loads of tvs on the wall for entertainment. It's well lit and aesthetically pretty great.
Ordering: This went well as the waitresses were very friendly and explained some of the menu and specials. They were knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They brought the drinks right away. My only complaint here would be that there wasn't root beer available with refills like other drinks because their root beer came in bottles.
The wait: Here's where my experience started to go down hill. I was one of the first people in the restaurant and I ended up waiting 40 minutes for the food I ordered. It wasn't busy enough to justify the wait, so I'm not sure why it took so long. The good thing is there are lots of TVs to watch.
The food: I ordered the chicken tenders with fries. They came in a bucket, which was a little weird, but kind of cool. It was different so I appreciate that. I consider myself a man child when it comes to food and with that said I've eaten a lot of chicken fingers in my day. These chicken fingers were just fair, 5/10. The breading was pretty good, but the chicken itself and chewy parts that were at times almost impossible to chew through. I don't think they were undercooked, so I'm not sure what the chewiness was. I wouldn't order them again. The fries were the worst part IMO. They were chewy like they had been sitting under a heater for an hour. The 3 other people at my table agreed and barely any of us ate our fries. Someone at my table ended up getting some dessert, the brownies and ice cream which looked really good in the photo. It came with a brownie in a dish with ice cream on top and another brownie on top of that. What came was a brownie on the bottom and a little ice cream on top. It looked nothing like the photo. It was actually comical it looked so bad compared to the photo haha.
Conclusion: Based on the food, I don't have much interest in returning as I think there are many other places around town with better food for money. However, this place just opened recently and maybe they are working out some kinks. Aesthetically the place is great, so I would return for that. Based on all of what I just said, I'd return if I was invited by friends or family, but I would not return if it were just myself or I would not suggest it if someone asked me where they should eat. I went into this with high hopes because of the hype, and just left deflated. I'm sure my experience was out of the norm and this place is fine, and I hope that's my experience if I'm able to visit...
Read moreWent to St. Louis bar and grill tonight for my sonâs 2nd birthday. Upon arrival we were seated in a booth that looked like it came out of slasherâs flick. Both booths had huge gashes in them so we had to be sure that our toddler didnât get into the seat stuffing.
We had reasonable service, with long wait times. We orderd a quesadilla, a large nacho with their new chicken and dill sauce recipe, pizza dough, mozzarella sticks and French fries. We both had fountain drinks.
Food took more than 30 minutes to arrive. We got our first drinks decently quick.
When we got our food, our pizza dough, nachos and mozzarella sticks were all cold. The plates were so hot they could burn you but the temp of our food inside was warm to cool. The mozza sticks tasted like fish and the chicken on top Of our nachos was clearly so old that when we pointed it out to our waitress she responded with âewww thatâs disgustingâ
We were told that they fry all the food in the same oil and there was nothing they could do about the mozzarella sticks.
They offered to remake the nachos. Which was an appreciated gesture but after seeing the state of The chicken they topped the nachos with I had long since lost my desire to eat anything.
We were then charged for the rest of our meal.
Our service was slow but not slow enough that I would have left before my food, but after having eaten it and struggling, trying to now survive the consequences. I wish our service had been worse so I wouldnât be suffering now.
Manager never came to check on our table and we left after paying our bill.
This used to be our favourite restaurant but it seems like they have stopped reinvesting in the business and everything seems like itâs not the top Notch bar and grill...
Read moreOn the afternoon of Friday, April 25th, I visited the restaurant. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the waiter who served us. Terrible customer service. She left us alone for over 40 minutes. She didn't ask if anything was nedded, I had to ask to another employee who was our server because we were sitting alone, then finally she came we ask for some drinks and it took her 35 min to serve 2 drinks, then we order the food and after that because one of the drink was horrible we asked for a glass of water and she NEVER brought it to the table, we had to wait alone another 40 min alone SHE WAS PASSING NEXT TO US, SAW ME WITH A EMPTY DRINK AND NEVER ASK IF I NEED SOMETHING ELSE.. ALSO we ask for wings supreme and she send boneless supreme. I complained with the person who brought the food to the table about our server and she send the manager, he had to come after 40 minutes to serve us the glass of water, and changed the food because we didn't order what she send to us, The manager was very attentive and helpful, but unfortunately he was very busy wish is understandable and he couldn't take care of us completely. He even offered us a dessert at the end and a discount on the bill but never get nothing of those 2 things, but I'm sure that was the server's fault she had a very bad attitude. I've been a customer for long time and never had this...
