Gander Big Stop Restaurant — Restaurant in Gander

Will not sure where to begin as Irving was always our number 1 choice for eating when travelling, so today we decided to go with our mum & family for Mother's Day, will we said how about Irving , we walked in sat down as we had 9 of us..myself had roast beef , as my husband had seafood platter mum had Turkey which she never touch and was not asked if everything was ok with her meal, my husband said oh dear the tongue's are rotten , and the rest of the seafood was burnt up...waitress April came by we said excuse me my love in a low voice as we did not want anyone to hear it , this is very rotten (meaning spoiled ) please let you cook know... And the seafood is cooked too much , will waitress replied , nothing I can do about that now , my husband only wanted to mention it so next person would not get it ...... My husband eat the cod fish and the fries.....we than ask her for a dessert for our mum once again she said no she do not get it with her meal in a rude way as we said it's ok we pay for it, it was like it was trouble for to serve us. Than she went to the back of our table and said what more can I do to get them out. OMG how rude ..hey April customer service be nice , you could have said so sorry sir about this I will address this right away, we understand you may had to work on this special day , as we all have been there or you may have been having a bad day and we been there...

Won’t be back to this Big Stop if someone paid me $1,000,000 to eat here. Rude server who came out of the kitchen, so obviously had no idea what was going on, and looked at me and said to her co-worker, who was trying to assist me “So she just walked in front of these people and wants a table first?!” When I just asked if we waited to be seated or picked a clean table. First of all; not how to treat people. If there was an issue, I’m sure the “people I got in front of” would have said so. But, you wouldn’t know this, they knew I was there first so they had no issues. Then, I very sternly tell her I was indeed “here first”, I was holding the door for an elderly gentlemen that needed assistance, but I don’t care who gets seated first, I’m not gonna cause a scene. Then she backed up and said “I didn’t know that’s why I was asking!” No, you’re rude & on some kind of weird power trip, and that’s not how you ask customers questions. You made an assumption and you embarrassed me. You didn’t know so shouldn’t have opened your mouth, especially in front of your customers. It was also embarrassing having to have THEM tell you it’s ok, I was here first. Learn how to treat people better because you literally ruined my day, and my appetite. Thanks a...

If there was a zero I would give a zero. Very unprofessional!!!! Staff arguing amongst themselves. Frint staff becoming upset about kitchen staff, took 1 hours and 15 minutes to get served eggs and toast the toast plate was disgusting (see picture). HOWEVER, when a friend of the wait staff came in seated and served in less than 15 minutes that was ridiculous. 5 thumbs down for this establishment.......so so disappointing!!!!!!!! This is what the bottom of a toast plate looks like grease...
