A&W Canada — Restaurant in Gatineau

We have JUST moved to Gatineau from Ontario (Kingston, to be exact) and my teen son knows ZERO English. YET. I had ordered our food and asked him to wait for it, as I needed to go to the car. I had told him what number to wait for (in French, so he recognized it) and when he heard it, to go get the order. The staff here were wonderful with him! They didn't call the number, unfortunately, but when he didn't understand what the gentleman was saying to call us over, he was extremely patient with my him. We will most definitely be returning to THIS location any time we eat A&W. Rightly given, that's not often at ALL, and it DOES happen to be the closest one to home, HOWEVER, even if it wasn't, I would HAPPILY go out of our way to attend this specific location.

Usually A& W is good, but at this location the food is greasier than usual, extremely badly prepared, if you ask to customise a burger,as an example ask to not put ketchup on a sandwich or any extra, they will not fix their mistakes, and shrug it off as the customer is wrong, some employees have very poor personal hygiene, a cook with a beard that does not put a net on it, if you mention it to the cashier she does not care and does nothing about it, that was on the night shift, I used to enjoy A&W, but will not go back, ever, this exact location needs new staff and management, extremely...

Worst A&W place to get food. One starNot mostly for the food, but the service is horrible. Worst staff (except for the little Caucasian girl, she's quick and good at her job) the rest are there to party, bla bla and "haha". Taking so long for the job and lazy to do some orders because they dont feel like it. Quick tip if there is not enough money coming in, then there is no reason to keep employees or, in general, that location. If you want a better A&W, your best bet is the one above the hill next to Mr. Puffs they would gladly...
