Visited this McDonald's today around 2:30. Was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. As a former employee of McDonald's and manager of a few well known restaurants I could never image treating a customer of a different language with such disrespect. I always train to and go above an beyond to try to understand instead I just got blank stares, eyes rolled and pure attitude like I was being an inconvenience from the young lady with the weave with pink or purple in it. All because I was speaking English? Forgive me last I checked we live in Canada and asking for a big Mac combo with large fries and a root beer I didn't think that would be as complicated as it was. When I then asked for a quarter pounder combo it was like I had come from the mars and some young man who was very polite and respectful finished taking my order. He made sure I had everything while the young lady was still sticking her nose in the air and rolling her eyes. I went to the car to eat my food and the burger was ice cold and tasted old I spit it back into the box. When I went back in to have them remake me a fresh one. The young lady was then again standing there and instead of greeting me she again rolled her eyes and walked right past to the drive thru window when she clearly wasn't working in that area without even acknowledging me or letting anyone else know I was standing there. I excused myself so someone would come and when the manager came to help me she wasn't very pleasant either but with the little french I do know I understood what she said and asked them to make it fresh which I appreciated. When I got back to the car that burger tasted funky aswell the fries were old and the best thing about my meal with the root beer she claimed they didn't have and I wasn't putting myself through another interaction. Never in my life have I ever felt like such a burden as I did today. That young lady needs to appreciate the job she has because if I were her boss she would not be on my clock and the young man that helped me deserves a raise. Sort yourself out McDonald's. You're going down hill fast with this type of...
Read moreI would like to give input so that hopefully a worker there can use my simple idea.
Last night, at 7:30pm, we stopped by to order a few things by the drive-through. We paid and were told to advance and park, our food would be ready soon. Sure, no problem. The thing is, there were 6 other cars waiting! Problem 1: not finishing orders on time. Then, workers were coming out to deliver the orders and ALL of them were wrong, so someone per car had to go in to exchange. Problem 2: contamination. The employees were just exchanging the bags that the other person had searched through. You don't know if your food was contaminated.
How to fix this problem: First of all, the surpervisor should have called a time-out for all the employees to reboot. Second of all, a simple solution would have been for the employee that went out to the cars to deliver the orders to simply ASK the person in the car what their order was. They could then confirm it was the right order from the receipt on the bag they are holding. This way, it's quick, efficient, mistakes are avoided, people leave quicker meaning they can catch up on the new orders and less people have to wait in the end. It's win-win all around.
Why this wasn't done, I don't know, but someone in charge definitively needs more training.
*Edited to say that I decided to give this McDonalds another chance. Unfortunately, they made a big mistake again. I ordered a chipotle wrap because of a dairy allgergy and they gave me ranch. Unfortunately, I started eating it and only noticed after a few bites (the sauce was lower down in the wrap). I will now be sick because of this big mistake. I checked my mobile order again and it clearly...
Read moreOrdered 2 regular poutines and 2 drinks, both coke, through drive-thru. Literally nothing fancy.. they got the entire order wrong. I drove 15mins away back to my house and was surprised to see that one poutine had chicken and what looked like puke, all over it-not very appealing- and the other was what I ordered but looked like someone had already eaten a portion of it because it was half empty. They also gave me one fruittopia instead of a coke-which I was okay with, because it was for a kid anyway. I called to discuss the ordeal and decided to let the portion size of the regular poutine slide. I told them that I didn't order the chicken one and that the order must have been mistaken with someone elses for all of those reasons, and asked what could be done about this, as I was already 15mins away and couldn't come back for another drive out right away because I was home with my child, who needed to eat something sooner than later. They told me I could either come in before this employee left today, which was about another 2 hours, to change the poutine, or get coupons for another poutine another day. I opted for the coupons because it made more sense at the time. They took my address and details, then never sent me anything, and it's been weeks. I ended up making a frozen pizza and sharing a kids meal portion sized poutine with my son, and nearly $18 poorer. This is one of a few bad experiences here. It just seems like nobody cares about what they're doing, and they say whatever they can to get you to leave them alone. They even told me that coming in the next day for a new one, was not an option, it was now, or coupons. Very...
