Papa Pizza — Restaurant in Gatineau

Went to go get pizza from this place. We walked in and they showed us a pizza menu. After looking it over we decided to get that large pizza for 25$ that came with 2 free 500ml drinks. During the checkout the guy said that “those menus are old and they changed them to new ones” and the pizza was now 29$ and the drinks weren’t included. Should have just left at that point. Even after just walking in person to order takeout they still asked for a tip. Unbelievable. When coming home to look at the pizza we noticed the dough was completely raw. There was a lot of extra cheese that was chewy like rubber and the grease was overwhelming. It soaked through the cardboard box and actually took a hole in the box. To make things worst I asked for half vegetarian and half pepperoni and meat, and there was meat all under the vegetarian side.

Will not be going again, even after looking at the reviews before posting this one I have seen similar issues to people being scammed about the prices and the below average food.

I thought the guy would ATLEAST apologize at the price and give us a free 1 500ml drink but he basically said too bad so sad that’s our bad.

The plate was 27.33$+tax. I ordered from uber. I can stay I was so disappointed with the quantity of food. They give you a half plate of cheep salad (no green pepper, no red onion, 3 miniature pieces of feta, chopped lettuce and tomatoes and some black olives) , 4 to 5 small fries on top of the rice and a little bit of rice as sides. If it didn’t come with a gyro bread I would have starved. Keep in mind that the plate is for $30. Every other Greek places I’ve ordered I’m never able to finish a plate. I was in the neighbourhood and in the mood for pizza. Chose this place based on its reviews. It was not what I expected. Very small place, mostly for takeouts, I assume. There are only 2 tables inside and no table service.

We didn’t see chicken on their menu and asked if we could have chicken. They said yes. As soon as I had my first bite, I regretted my choice. It seemed like the chicken was shredded leftovers. Not grilled and certainly didn’t taste fresh.
