Poulet Rouge — Restaurant in Gatineau

I absolutely love the food from this place and if you are picking the food up, this is a great choice for dinner but if you're ordering for delivery, be prepared to wait about an hour for delivery and pay an extra $15 - $20 for your order, the service fees are some of the highest I've seen and prices are inflated.

Edit. October 1 2025. Unfortunately I have to adjust my previous review. I’m. It sure what happened but tonight the food was not up to expectations. The chicken was somewhat bland and pale and the fries were ice cold and only half a portion. Spent way too much money on this meal. Don’t order for delivery, go in so you can verify the quality.

Love the food but the extra cost of ordering for delivery makes it impossible for me to give 5 stars.

My recommendation is for them to stop charging such high service fees and do better with getting the orders...

It's honest, good fast food. The quality of the chicken isn't bad, but it isn't great either. It's as if they are only using the filet of the breast. Although I could be wrong and the breast is just butchered into strips. But in a world of options like McDonald's and subways for sure, PR outshines that kind of competition. But I'm looking for health friendly options and compare them to greek food, poke bowls or a proper Shwarma shop. They get left in the dust, IMO. The place is spick and span, like museum clean!! I've visited several Poulet Rouge locations before and generally had good experiences. However, this particular visit was extremely disappointing. We drove 35 minutes from Ottawa West on a Sunday evening, as all the Ottawa locations were already closed. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst meals I've ever had. The chicken was extremely dry, lacked freshness, and had an unpleasant taste. To make things worse, there was no sauce on the rest of the bowl, making the entire dish bland and unenjoyable.
